In preparation for the priesthood exam, Teito is assigned a new room to live in. However, Teito discovers that Hakuren is his roommate, which only leads to more squabbling between the two. Later, Teito and Hakuren go to the practice hall, where numerous Kor are contained within a barrier of water. Hakuren shows everyone in the hall his ability with exterminating Kor, and Teito learns more about controlling a baculus. Meanwhile, Ayanami begins a dark and deadly scheme.
