'2 Broke Girls' Finale: Martha Stewart Ambushed In The Bathroom

Could Martha Stewart's appearance in the season finale of " 2 Broke Girls " (Mon., 8 p.m. ET on CBS) actually push the major plotline of the series forward in the second season? Does the much beleaguered freshman series need to? Are fans ready to see Max and Caroline actually start to make forward momentum with Max's Homemade Cupcakes? EW's Popwatch is cautiously optimistic the show can get it together next year. At least there seems to be more variety in the flavors than what can be found in a typical cake mix box, so that's encouraging. Certainly a bland and boring cupcake wouldn't gain the attention of one Martha Stewart . Stewart portrayed herself at the Met Ball, which the girls crashed after Caroline's invitation was rescinded. There, they ambushed Stewart in the ladies room and asked her to sample a cupcake only slightly smashed in Caroline's purse. It was just wacky enough that Stewart went for it. She was impressed enough to take their business card, but will anything come of it? "2 Broke Girls" has already been renewed for a second season, and will return to CBS in the fall. TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.
