Alpha Dog is an American film written and directed by Nick Cassavetes, and released on January 23, 2007. The film is based on the true story of the kidnapping and murder of 15-year-old Nicholas Markowitz, represented by the character Zach Mazursky, and the alleged involvement of Jesse James Hollywood, represented by the character Johnny Truelove, a young drug dealer.
