I saw this for my birthday. I love Theodore he's so cute and he can beat box but I reckon the songs they do without the music is better than the songs with the music.

Alvin and the Chipmunks, a global phenomenon to generations of fans, becomes a live action/CGI motion picture event with a contemporary comic sensibility. Songwriter Dave Seville transforms singing chipmunks Alvin, Simon and Theodore into pop sensations -- while the out-of-control trio lays waste to Dave's home, wreaks havoc on his career, and turns Dave's once-orderly life upside-down. Based on the 1980s cartoon series about a music group of chipmunks comprised of mischievous group leader Alvin; tall and quiet Simon; and chubby, impressionable Theodore.

Summary
Alvin and the Chipmunks Premiere: December 14, 2007. Alvin and the Chipmunks is an upcoming live-action/computer-animated film, based on the popular musical group and animated series The Chipmunks. It is being directed by Tim Hill and being produced by New Regency Productions and 20th Century Fox. It is currently scheduled for theatrical release on December 14, 2007.
