‘America's Got Talent’ Returning to NYC's Radio City, Introduces New Boot Camp Round

NBC's “America's Got Talent” announced that its upcoming ninth season will return to New York City's Radio City Music Hall. The talent show will air from Radio City Music Hall twice a week when live episodes begin on July 29 at 9 p.m., according to returning judges Mel B., Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, host Nick Cannon and executive producers Jason Raff and Sam Donnelly, who made the announcement during Tuesday's panel at NBC Summer Press Day. 'America's Got Talent': All Four Judges, Host Nick Cannon Returning

NBC said Wednesday that all four America's Got Talent judges -- Howard Stern , Heidi Klum , Mel B and Howie Mandel -- will be returning to its summer reality competition. In addition, Nick Cannon has signed on to return as host. "Howard, Heidi, Mel and Howie have proven that they are a dynamic quartet of judges who aren’t afraid to share their opinions, while at the same time creating fireworks of their own," said Paul Telegdy , president of alternative and late-night programming at NBC Entertainment. Howard Stern revealed on his radio show Tuesday (Nov. 19) that he has signed on for another season of NBC's popular summer variety competition program "America's Got Talent" -- but it wasn't an easy decision."I really did struggle with the deicsion .. I really wanted to decide if this was going to take away too much of my free time," says Stern. "Did I really still enjoy doing it? Did I have something to say? Is it something I should be involved with still?"He adds that while the gig may have "started out as a goof," he's given it a lot of thought and that NBC adjusted the scheduling to accommodate him, so he's going back."The big black hole in me that demands attention ... it won. ‘America’s Got Talent’ Producer Explains What He’s Looking for During Auditions

NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” just crowned its last winner, dancer Kenichi Ebina, last month and yet it’s already hitting the road in search of Season 9 contenders. On Oct. 26, the show holds its first auditions for the upcoming season in Miami. It will then see thousands more acts over six more cities through February. TV ratings: 'Survivor' premiere and 'America's Got Talent' finale lead Wednesday, 'Big Brother' finale down

Fast National ratings for Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013A reality-heavy night of TV Wednesday brought positives for all three networks that aired original shows. The premiere of "Survivor: Blood vs. Water" was up over the "Caramoan" premiere in the spring (though down some from the fall 2012 premiere). The season finale of "America's Got Talent" improved slightly on last year's finale for NBC."The X Factor" also was up, rising slightly from its premiere last week. The finale of "Big Brother," however, dropped from last season, losing viewers in each half-hour.NBC ended the night on top in total viewers with 9.2 million and a 5.6 rating/9 share in households. CBS (8.1 million, 4.9/8) came in second, beating out FOX's 6.6 million viewers and 4.1/7. ABC (3.5 million, 2.4/4) was off the pace some in fourth, and The CW (1.1 million, 0.7/1) trailed.CBS led the adults 18-49 demographic with a 2.5 rating.
