Big Ego Gets Paulina Porizkova Fired From 'America's Next Top Model'

Paulina Porizkova's job in " America's Next Top Model " is short-lived. The supermodel who joined in the 10th cycle to replace Twiggy as one of the judges has shared that she was fired by "someone" from the show and it's probably due to her "gigantic huge ego". "Listen, do you know why I am in Los Angeles? Because I am looking for a job," Porizkova explained to Craig Ferguson when she appeared on "The Late Late Show" on Tuesday, May 12. "Because I was fired by America's Next Top Model on my birthday." Porizkova turned 44 on April 9 which means that she may be excluded from the judging panel in the upcoming 13th cycle. When asked what could possibly be the reason, Porizkova claimed that she has no clue but had a theory for it. "The reason I was told I was fired was because, it seemed, that America's Next Top Model has gotten too fat and they needed to cut some fat and the fat was me," she said. "So I figured it was either that or my gigantic huge ego. Which I wasn't aware of until I was told by the producers that I have an ego problem." Craig then said that he didn't think she has a big ego. To this Porizkova said, "I didn't either. But Tyra (Banks)... I really believe that just felt they didn't need me, which of course they don't, so that's okay." Source Here

Celia of America's Next Top Model Talks Fashion with the New York Post

Turns out we're not the only person enamored with Celia and her signature sense of style. Last week Celia did a fashion spread and interview with the New York Post about her signature style and her top five looks for spring. For the spread, Celia modeled looks for work, a night out on the town, the beach, a hot date, and a playful day-to-day look. The photo shoot was Celia's first since her ANTM elimination, but we doubt it will be her last. With Celia's unique look, strong photos, encyclopedic fashion knowledge, and articulate confidence, we foresee designers clamoring to work with her. Enjoy the video below of Celia's New York Post photo shoot. We're a wee bit jealous of all the fabulous clothes Celia got to play with, most especially the sweet vintage turquoise swimsuit, which we'd like to purchase in every color. The video also includes a brief interview with Celia, but if you want to want to hear more of Celia's thoughts on fashion and life on America's Next Top Model you should check out our exclusive interview with Celia. 'America's Next Top Model' Cycle 12 Finale Preview

Spoilers include latest eliminated contestant With Celia being the latest kicked-out contestant of " America's Next Top Model ", three remain to steal the crown next week. Aminat, Allison and Teyona will face the CoverGirl challenge in the finale and only two will strut their moves in the show's "most provocative" runways. On the Wednesday, May 6 episode, Celia was in the bottom two along with Aminat. The judges were complaining of Celia's old look which could be a problem when she has to do the cover for Seventeen magazine. So they admitted Aminat in, with the warning that she has got to work it in the photo shoots. The finale for the 12th cycle will air on Wednesday, May 13. They have to complete their CoverGirl commercial before one is eliminated. Then, the two finalists shoot their Seventeen magazine cover, and show the judges their fiercest moves when they, literally, crawl down the final runway. Source & Preview

Tonight's TV Hot List: Wednesday, May 6, 2009 - Featured

* Scrubs (8 pm/ET ABC) Scrubs wraps up its eighth season tonight as J.D. prepares to leave Sacred Heart and fantasizes about finally landing a hug from Dr. Cox and learning the Janitor's real name. But leaving the hospital isn't the only change in store for J.D. as Elliot slowly begins moving her things into his place, a clear sign that she's changing the course of their relationship. More than 50 past guest stars turn out for tonight's finale, a fitting tribute to this quirky and heartfelt show. * American Idol (9 pm/ET Fox) The final four singers are between a rock song and a hard place in tonight's results show. Last night, the remaining quartet - Kris Allen, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta and Adam Lambert - blasted through rock-and-roll tunes, putting some edge in the show while being mentored by Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver guitar master Slash. Sadly, one of our singers will be slashed from the contest before night's end. There's little doubt that rockers No Doubt will perform. And Daughtry, fronted by Season 5 contestant Chris Daughtry, are on hand to perform "No Surprise." * Lost (9 pm/ET ABC) Now we know exactly why the crash of Flight 815 happened. And we know about Faraday's theories for making it unhappen. What would happen then? We'll have a better idea next week, after "The Incident" happens to wrap up this season. But for now (1977, actually) Jack and Kate are at odds about what to do next, and the jig is up for Sawyer and Juliet at Dharma. And in 2007, Locke is fully in charge of the Others. What does that mean for Richard Alpert (not to mention Ben)? * Lie to Me (8 pm/ET Fox) Cal is going to jail tonight, but not for anything that he did: He's posing as a cop killer so he can get into the skull of a serial rapist ( Rescue Me 's Daniel Sunjata) whose MO - come on like a nice guy, then blind the victims before raping them - is being copycatted. This approach could yield clues for catching the copycat, but it won't be easy because the guy is both smart and a pathological liar. Mekhi Phifer guest stars as the skeptical FBI agent on the case. * America's Next Top Model (8 pm/ET The CW ) Teyona strengthened her front-runner position with last week's double wins in the go-see competition and the photo shoot. Slight-of-height Fo wasn't so lucky and got the short end of the elimination stick, while golden oldie Celia narrowly escaped ouster (she bombed the beach photo shoot), due to her strong past pictures. But if she doesn't soon remove the "old-looking" label from her back, Celia is history. Fortunately, Tyra directs a jungle-themed photo shoot tonight that requires the final four models to resemble exotic birds. Maybe Celia can hide behind the distracting makeup and feathers. America's Next Top Model Cycle 12: Episode 11 Video Preview

It's go-see time this week on America's Next Top Model . The go see episode is always one of my favorite episode every cycle. Not only are ANTM hopefuls apparently the most directionally challenged people in the universe, we finally get to see someone other than Tyra Banks and her minions suss up the potential for each remaining contestant. Brazilian go-sees should be especially interesting. Not only is there the potential language barrier, but Brazilian fashion and beauty ideals are very different than in New York City or Paris. Brazil is home to some of the most beautiful women in the world and has spawned a whole new generation of supermodels. Think Giselle Bundchen, Adriana Lima, and Alessandra Ambrosio. That being said, the worry is the girls from America's Next Top Model just won't cut it in the eyes of the Brazilian fashion elite. Celia will be too harsh looking, Allison too strange, Fo is too short, Teyona is too severe, and Aminat looks like a man in her photos. Will this be the first time an ANTM model doesn't book a go-see? We'll have to wait and see. Until Wednesday, enjoy the video previews of this week's episode. TO See More Click Here .

Interview: Natalie Pack of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12

This morning I had the pleasure of chatting with Natalie Pack, the latest girl to be eliminated from America's Next Top Model . Despite the fact that Natalie was the most modelesque of the contestants, she was eliminated for her one-note photos. Though Natalie was portrayed as an aloof snob on the show, she was a charming and forthcoming interview. We chatted about the surprising lack of drama in the house, why she thinks ANTM runners up out perform ANTM winners, and how her bitchy persona was created by the editors of America's Next Top Model. Tonight's TV Hot List for Wednesday, April 22, 2009 - Featured

* Scrubs (8 pm/ET ABC) It's a battle of the exes tonight as Elizabeth Banks and Scott Foley return to Scrubs, reprising their roles as J.D. and Elliot's former flames. As J.D. tries to simplify his life for the sake of his son, he decides it's time to make peace with Kim. But he's not prepared to discover that Kim has a new man in her life: Elliot's ex, Sean. Awkward. Meanwhile, Turk turns to his friends at Sacred Heart to help him land a big promotion. * America's Next Top Model (8 pm/ET The CW ) London won't be calling on designers in Brazil. Her recent weight gain cost her a trip to Sao Paulo, where the six remaining models travel to tonight. A scavenger hunt around the city awaits them, and the search tests the gals' navigation skills. The ladies pose as cultural icons for the photo shoot before the judges send one girl back to the U.S. Steady Teyona, who won best photo last week, now looks to be the front-runner. * iCarly (8 pm/ET Nickelodeon) A green-themed episode fittingly airs on Earth Day and finds Carly, Sam and Freddie getting a school assignment that requires them to create a project that will benefit the environment. Carly works hard at the task, but she accidentally builds something illegal: a nuclear-powered generator. Oops. * Lie to Me (8 pm/ET Fox) Ratings don't lie, and that's certainly good news to crime-fighting psychologist Cal Lightman (Tim Roth), who'll wind up this series' encouraging first season over the next few weeks with time-honored guest-star intensity. First up: L Word alum Jennifer Beals, beginning a story arc as Cal's ex-wife, an assistant U.S. attorney who's stumped on an arson case. Cal, as it happens, isn't entirely over her. In fact, he acts downright dumb around her. But does he act dumb enough to blow the case? * Reno 911! (10:30 pm/ET Comedy Central) If you've ever detected a flair for the dramatic in Jim Dangle, you won't be surprised to learn that he's rented out the Sierra Historical Society to stage a murder-mystery dinner, which is the focus of a two-part episode. (Part 2 airs next week.) What is a bit startling, however, is his decision to invite his ex-wife, her ex-fiance and her new fiance, so one may wonder if the menu includes a recipe for disaster. Rachael Harris and Scott Thompson guest star. Source Here

London of America's Next Top Model Cycle 12

Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with London, the most recent contestant to be eliminated from America's Next Top Model . Just as she was on the show, London was a delightful mix of goofy and serious, answering questions with surprising candor and lots of charm. London and I talked about her unique sense of style, how she avoided drama in the house, and the real shocking reason she gained weight during her time on Top Model. We discussed the alternate universe of living in a house plastered with Tyra Banks photos, what it was like styling and photographing Allison, and who she thinks will be crowned America's Next Top Model. Tonight's TV Hot List for Wednesday, April 8, 2009

* America's Next Top Model (8 pm/ET The CW ) Fo, Tyra's self-proclaimed "mama's pupil," must be considered the front-runner after last week's high praise from Banks on her smiling eyes and a best-photo win. On the bottom is self-destructing Celia. She is, arguably, the most fashion-conscious model, but her ill-advised tirade at panel against Tahlia will likely be her downfall. Nigel, especially, is itching to get rid of her. Tonight Clay Aiken coaches the models during an acting class, and Cycle 11 winner McKey prepares the gals to shoot a cosmetics commercial. * American Idol (9 pm/ET Fox) It's so last week, but we still can't forget that colorful contestant Megan Joy, she of the telegenic visage and hippie-dippy dance moves, felt no joy after she interpreted Bob Marley's "Turn Your Lights Down Low." Yes, America and the judges did indeed turn the lights down on her. So now it's crazy eights. Last night, the Top 8 performed songs from the year they were born, and tonight they wait for their fate in the supplemental results show. Country songstress and Season 5 contestant Kellie Pickler is on hand to perform the song "Best Days of Your Life." * Lost (9 pm/ET ABC) It certainly seems as though Kate and Sawyer made a deal with the devil last week when they left the gravely wounded young Ben to the tender mercies of Richard Alpert, and - as it happens - "judgment day" is here tonight. Cue the smoke monster, and look for lots of screen time for Ben, both in 1977, when he begins to make his transition from Dharma innocent to the Ben we have come to know, and in 2007, when Smokey and the resurrected Locke await. * The Unusuals (10:02 pm/ET ABC) Joan of Arcadia 's Amber Tamblyn returns to TV in this police drama with a comedic slant. In tonight's pilot, NYC detective Casey Shraeger (Tamblyn) is transferred from vice to homicide and gets partnered with a cop who's determined to find his ex-partner's murderer. She also learns that many of the detectives in her new department are a little zany: Leo Banks (Harold Perrineau) refuses to take off his bulletproof vest, while Eric Delahoy (Adam Goldberg) keeps trying to get killed in the line of duty. * American Masters (9 pm/ET PBS) The series profiles prolific composer Philip Glass, whose minimalist works span the gamut from avant-garde to chamber music to opera to pop, thanks to collaborative efforts with such artists as David Bowie and Paul Simon. The documentary, which includes interviews with Glass, Woody Allen and Martin Scorsese, chronicles a year in his life, from the world premiere of an opera in Germany to traveling to Australia to perform with a didgeridoo virtuoso. Idol Vet Clay Aiken Opts to Play Nice as Top Model Judge

Clay Aiken endured his fair share of scrutiny during his American Idol days, but the tables are turning as the singer puts on his best judging face for an upcoming episode of America's Next Top Model . "It was kind of surreal to do a show that's a competition but be on the other side of the judge's table," Aiken told at the GLAAD Media Awards. Aiken will put in an appearance on Wednesday's episode of The CW 's Top Model, serving as an acting coach during a teaching challenge and joining as the guest judge during panel. "[Clay] has a lot to offer as a performer and in terms of guiding and mentoring girls to bring out their personality and charisma," said Top Model's Jay Manuel. Considering Aiken's first-hand experience with the sass of one Simon Cowell, the new dad hoped to bring something a bit more kindhearted to the judging table. "I have a lot more compassion for the contestants since I've been [in that situation]," said Aiken. "It breaks my heart for anyone that has to be cut or put in that position of scrutiny, so I try to be nicer." So basically, Aiken will play the role of Paula, except come off as slightly more lucid.
