August Rush tells the story of a charismatic young Irish guitarist (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) and a sheltered young cellist (Keri Russell) who have a chance encounter one magical night above New York's Washington Square, but are soon torn apart, leaving in their wake an infant, August Rush, orphaned by circumstance. August Rush Summary
August Rush is a 2007 Academy Award-nominated drama directed by Kirsten Sheridan and written by Nick Castle, James V. Hart, Kirsten Sheridan and Paul Castro, and produced by Richard Barton Lewis. The film's a drama with fairy tale elements, where an orphaned musical prodigy uses his gift as a clue to finding his birth parents. The film premiered on November 21, 2007.
