Find Out Which Reality Was Real In The 'Awake' Finale

Even though the series run of " Awake " (Thu., 10 p.m. ET on NBC) came to a close -- far too soon for many fans -- there are still plenty of questions that remain. That said, as mentioned by CliqueClack , the series did a great job of giving series finale closure in a finale they couldn't have known would be their last one ever. Det. Britten brought to a close his investigation into the accident that took his wife and/or son away from him, and it took his two worlds coming together for him to finally get everything done. In the end, it looked like the red world -- which was where the more fanciful elements lived all season -- was the world of his dreams. Or was it? In the end, when he spoke of wanting to dream a new world that could turn back the clock to when both his wife and son were alive, his green world therapy session quite literally froze. A door opened to his bedroom, which proved to be a new reality altogether. One in which both his wife and son are alive and well. But is this reality, or Britten choosing another dream over a real world without his wife? TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser. http://feeds.huffingtonpost.com/~r/HP/Entertainment/~3/h8-c1YKWUvA/awake-finale-which-reality-is-the-real-world-video_n_1544744.html

'Awake' Season 2: Does the NBC series still have a shot at another season?

NBC's "Awake" went from mind-bending to mind-blowing in its Season 1 finale on Thursday (May 24), which also marks the show's series finale. The Kyle Killen-created series was among those that got the axe from NBC in May. Jason Isaacs starred as Michael Britten, a man living in two realities -- one in which his wife (Laura Allen) survives a car accident while his son (Dylan Minnette) died and another in which the opposite is true. While an innovative concept, it may have been too clever for its own good. The show debuted to around 6 million viewers but steadily declined week after week, falling to around 2 million viewers just before its cancellation. Fans of the show are hoping "Awake" can find a second life on another network, but Killen doesn't sound optimistic."We're open to another home for the show but the chances are extraordinarily remote, so it's probably best to think of and... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/awake-season-2-does-the-nbc-series-still-have-a-shot-at-another-season.html

'Awake' series finale: Which one of Michael Britten's realities is all a dream?

"Awake" creator Kyle Killen and star Jason Isaacs have both said all along that one of Michael Britten's realities is a dream -- either the one in which his wife (Laura Allen) survived a car accident but his son (Dylan Minnette) died or the one in which the reverse is true. And Thursday (May 24), fans will hopefully get a satisfying answer to the single-season series' mystery during the finale airing at 10 p.m. on NBC."We left nothing off the table," Isaacs tells EW.com. "It feels like a real ending. Nobody who's watched the show is going to come up and want their money back in the street."Anyone expecting a definitive answer to "Which one of these realities is real?" may be wanting their viewing time back, though, as Killen hints that we probably won't get one."The episode certainly feeds one of those theories," Killen says. "When we wrote the episode, we didn't know... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/05/awake-series-finale-which-one-of-michael-brittens-realities-is-all-a-dream.html
