Barb Dutton Henrickson is a character on HBO's Big Love portrayed by Jeanne Tripplehorn. Barb is the first wife of Bill Henrickson. Barb was raised outside polygamy and had almost died of uterine cancer before Bill married Nicki Grant. He later married Margene Henrickson as a third wife.

Her family disowned Bill and Barb because she followed him into polygamy; her sister is shown as the modern, one-husband wife, raising the children (plus an adopted child) and holding down a job, whilst repeated references are made to Barb's mother "not being ready" to meet with Barb at the time of the first season of the show, some years after her battle with cancer.

Barb substitute teaches the first grade and seems to be the wife with the cool head.

Barb's birthday is June 10, 1960.

At the begining of season 2 she moves out of the house because as Barb puts it this is not what she signed up for having only agreed to become polygamist in the event that she was dying of cancer.
