Big Brother follows a group of strangers living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One by one, the HouseGuests vote each other out of the house until at the end of three months, the last remaining HouseGuest will win the grand prize. On this season of Big Brother, house guests are paired up at the beginning with their "soulmate" (each house guest has a perfect match in the house after completing very specific personality tests) and for the duration of the show they compete as couples, win as couples and get evicted as couples. Instead of HoH, they are now competing to be the "Power Couple".

The final two houseguests face the jury who will decide who wins Big Brother 9.
