BloodRayne 3 is based on first BloodRayne videogame, which was very succesfull in 2002.

First BloodRayne movie was very unsuccsesfull mainly because of date of release, which was 6th January 2006. There was a conflict with Romar company too. Rumours say, that they get money to promote BloodRayne the movie but there was no campaign. Later, it was solved in lawsuit but there are no information about that.

BloodRayne III: Warhammer Summary
Details regarding the film have not yet been released, it has not been revealed yet if BloodRayne III: Warhammer will be a direct to DVD sequel, or have a theatrical debut. It is also unclear if Natassia Malthe will return or Kristanna Loken to play Rayne. Like the 1st Bloodrayne game, this movie will be set during World War 2. It is scheduled to begin production in Spring 2008. According to recent news, Uwe Boll is not going to direct BloodRayne III: Warhammer, although he will produce it. the information from the commentary states that a new actress may be used.
