'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 5, 'Lost and Found': A kidnapping and crises of faith rock the Reagans

The personal and the professional have a way of merging for the Reagans of "Blue Bloods."Such was the case again in "Lost and Found," Friday's (Oct. 25) episode of the CBS police drama written by co-executive producer Daniel Truly. Frank (Tom Selleck) was alarmed to learn Father Markhum (Frank Wood, "The Newsroom"), the NYPD's chaplain, had been stopped for driving while intoxicated ... "the fourth time in two months," police chief Dino (John Ventimiglia) revealed. The clergyman had rear-ended another car, and Frank worried that intervening would appear to be favored treatment -- something the arresting officer already had furnished by letting the priest sleep off his condition. And Frank realized such handling was "the reason I never heard about the other three DWI's."Later, Frank entered a confessional to talk to the chaplain, and told him to turn himself in: "Even priests do penance, Jerry."While eating out with Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Nicky (Sami Gayle) noticed a... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/blue-bloods-season-4-episode-5-lost-and-found-a-kidnapping-and-crises-of-faith-rock-the-reagans.html

'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 4: 'The Truth About Lying' catches cops, relatives and lovers

Tom Selleck is a formidable force for any other performer to match. So is "Cheers" alum Bebe Neuwirth, and the two Emmy winners squared off in Friday's (Oct. 18) CBS "Blue Bloods" episode "The Truth About Lying," written by series co-executive producer Brian Burns (brother of actor-filmmaker Edward Burns).Neuwirth played Kelly Peterson, an inspector general assigned to examine the NYPD and its policies, something Frank (Selleck) expectedly wasn't thrilled about -- though he was as cordial as possible to her face. However, she quickly called him on his resentment of someone trying to "fix what isn't broke:" She told him, "I'm not good at small talk, either," and it was clear they'd be going toe-to-toe again as she left his office after their brief introduction.Chasing a suspect through the streets, Eddie (Vanessa Ray) barely missed being struck with him by a pipe -- but she eventually tackled and cuffed him, showing off her catch to partner Jamie... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/blue-bloods-season-4-episode-4-the-truth-about-lying-catches-cops-relatives-and-lovers.html

'Pretty Little Liars' and 'Blue Bloods' let Vanessa Ray 'play a good guy and a bad guy all year'

Vanessa Ray knows what it's like to be playing two characters at opposite ends of the scale, and she's glad to have fans on board for the whole ride. The actress is about to film more episodes as devious CeCe Drake on ABC Family's "Pretty Little Liars," which resumes its fourth season this winter after its Halloween episode Tuesday, Oct. 22. Ray is able to do that by taking a brief leave from the Friday-night CBS drama "Blue Bloods," which she has joined in Season 4 as Eddie Janko, the new partner of NYPD Officer Jamie Reagan (Will Estes)."It's so fun to do," the lively Ray tells Zap2it of her "Liars" gig, "and what a crazy character I get to play. She's sort of a sociopath. I think she's so weird because she's, like, 22 but hangs out with high-schoolers. It's like, 'Hey, girl! Get a life!' But I'm so lucky to get to play a... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/pretty-little-liars-and-blue-bloods-let-vanessa-ray-play-a-good-guy-and-a-bad-guy-all-year.html

'Blue Bloods' Season 4, episode 3 - 'To Protect and Serve': Courtroom hostage Erin is shot

Usually, it's the cops in the Reagan family who are in the line of fire. They weren't the only ones this time.Prosecutor Erin (Bridget Moynahan) ended up imperiled in Friday's (Oct. 11) CBS episode of "Blue Bloods." Written by series co-executive producer Siobhan Byrne O'Connor, "To Protect and Serve" set the danger somewhere it wouldn't be expected -- a courtroom. The hour began with Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) and Maria (Marisa Ramirez) investigating a broad-daylight murder, with the only witness the victim's young son Michael (a very natural, wrenching performance by Jake Miller, playing off a commendably sensitive Wahlberg). Asked if he had relatives he could stay with, the boy said, "My mom. But I don't want to go home just yet. I just want to stay with him [the slain father]."Then it was off to court, where Erin ran into her fellow-lawyer ex Jack (Peter Hermann, the real-life husband of Mariska Hargitay) and wasn't thrilled he'd... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/10/blue-bloods-season-4-episode-3-to-protect-and-serve-courtroom-hostage-erin-is-shot.html
