Okay, so suddenly I'm extremely confused. SideReel is telling me that Bones was on tonight but then it isn't and then I can't turn on the tv cause it's dying but my DVR is still working. Did I record on the right night (aka, tomorrow night, not two hours ago)? Someone help pleasse! Is it just a SideReel malfunction?

Tonight on Bones , we get a little bit of comedy as the Jeffersonian team is brought in on a case that seemingly delves into pure science fiction. We're sure it's nothing that Booth and Bones can't handle but solving the case proves to be a little messy. "The Tough Man in the Tender Chicken," the sixth episode of Bones' fifth season, explores the mystery behind the mutilated remains of a local chicken farmer discovered on the bank of a nearby river. The twist: He's half-man and half chicken! Could the farmer's murder be the result of a military experiment? Brennan, as expected, is skeptical about the whole thing so she digs deeper for more clues. But finding out the nature of his death is one thing, and identifying the murder suspect is another. Remember when we hinted on a flashback episode of Bones that would rewind all the way back to Booth and Brennan's first-tag team assignment? Well, it's time to celebrate Bones fans because series executive producer Stephen Nathan has now confirmed the good news. "We'll be there for the first time those two personalities clashed," Nathan told Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello. "Events will conspire to make them come out of the case hating each other and vowing that they will never work together again." Most Bones fans, especially BuddyTV readers, are looking forward to this trip down memory lane and are hoping that the show will recount Booth and Brennan's separate versions of how they first met so viewers can see the difference and how much they've changed since then. For now, though, fans will just have to stay tuned to find out how it will all play out and trust lead star David Boreanaz since he's also directing the milestone episode. Aside from Booth and Brennan's first encounter, the highly anticipated flashback, which is part of Bones' 100th episode, will shed light on the other character's budding friendships among other things. "We'll also see the introduction of Angela and the genesis of her friendship with Brennan," Nathan added. "And we'll try and work in a Smurf reference, of course. They certainly have been absent from season 5 so far." Source Here

I know, like me, you must still be reeling over the fact that there will be no new Bones episodes until November 5, but I beseech you to try your best to cope during this hard time. For it is in fact during a tragedy like this that we must all band together in order to get past the pain and anguish we feel in our hearts. There are 13 long days until the return of Booth and Bones, but we must not dwell on this. Let's focus on the positive and keep ourselves occupied for the remainder of this time. I have listed five excellent ways for you to survive this treacherous Bones hiatus. * Watch reruns of Bones on TNT : You can catch Bones on TNT almost every weekday at 7 and 8pm. The schedule tends to change rather inconsistently, so I urge you to go to their website and double check. If we're lucky, one day they will have back-to-back-to-back Bones episodes! Season 1 just started up again. Isn't it funny to see how much everyone has changed? * Re-watch episodes from Season 5: OK, so maybe you're not like me, and you don't like to re-watch episodes over and over again, but who doesn't like the amazing Booth and Bones moments from this season? I mean come on. Booth and Bones said I love you to each other...if only in a "professional kind of way." You can check watch them here. * Get Bones Season 4 on DVD: Like the commercial says, this is "the season that changed everything." If you don't have it already, I strongly encourage you to go and get it. Aside from every episode, it has deleted scenes, a feature about the Squints, and my personal favorite, a gag reel. * Continue to check here for news and spoilers: I often find this the best way to cope with the hiatus of any show. During a long break, it's always nice to hear some good news. For instance, did you hear that Zooey Deschanel will be making a guest appearance on Bones as Brennan's cousin later on this season? I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see the lovely Deschanel sisters together on the same screen. * Breathe: This might seem like the strangest suggestion ever, but trust me, it really does work. It has been scientifically proven to help lower your stress level, but, most importantly, it helps you to not harbor any hatred toward Fox or Major League Baseball. Personally, this is just one more reason why I don't like baseball, but, since it is America's pastime, I guess I'll have to accept it. Source Here
