'Breaking Bad' preview: Worst small talk ever

It's just another day at the office for Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) on "Breaking Bad." Except for the part where Walt bums a cigarette, and they talk about killing Gus.In the scene from Sunday's (Sept. 11) episode, "Bug," Walt is unsurprisingly getting impatient that Jesse has not yet taken a chance at bumping off Gus (Giancarlo Esposito). But the way he expresses it to Jesse -- shoehorning it in while trying to feign a friendly conversation between colleagues for Gus' cameras -- is a little bit ha-ha funny and more than a little sad-funny. As close as they are, Walt still doesn't really know Jesse that well.Note to both Walt and Jesse: Any shooting-the-breeze conversation that includes the phrase "Don't you have enough cancer already?" and ends with "We're both dead men anyway" isn't really the best kind of small talk."Breaking Bad" airs at 10 p.m. ET Sunday on AMC. Top Moments: Rescue Me's Happy Ending, Kate Gosselin's Food Fight and Kimmel's Teary Tribute

Our top moments of the week: 13. Kiss and Tell Award:  Talk about airing your dirty laundry on television. When Vienna and Kasey get into a little lovers' quarrel on  Bachelor Pad  (he wants to have sex; she doesn't), he decides to prove that Vienna isn't shy about getting into bed by name-dropping her previous conquests. Including Wes and Dave Good. To her face. Both guys denied it, of course, but who wouldn't?   12. Worst Athletic Display:  Playing with your daughters? Good. Playing with your daughters after you've been drinking? Not so much.  Joe Giudice  takes things a little too far on  The Real Housewives of New Jersey  when he tries to show up his daughter and flaunt his gymnastics skills ("I'm a professional," he says) shortly after polishing off a glass of red wine. He aims for a simple roll on the mat, but winds up rolling onto the marble floor and chipping his tooth. "When my husband drinks, things get a little out of control," Teresa  explains to the camera. You're telling us? 11. Gone Baby Gone Award:  Sloane tells Eric she could never be with him again when he comes to apologize to her on the penultimate episode of  Entourage . Unfortunately, the most heartbreaking news isn't that she won't take him back, but that she's pregnant and plans to move to New York with their unborn child and still wants nothing to do with him. Sloane moving to Eric's hometown with their yet-to-be-born baby? It makes us wonder  where the show is headed  in the series finale. With Hank Closing In, 'Breaking Bad' Reveals a Bit of Gus' Past (VIDEO)

Gustavo Fring is one of the most enigmatic and fascinating characters on television. Now that he's on Hank's radar on 'Breaking Bad' (Sun., 10PM ET on AMC), the writers have begun to slowly peel back the onion, revealing a few of the layers of his complex and stoic personality. Hank's investigations into Gus' past take him clearly to Mexico and then back to Chile, but there he hits a roadblock, as there are no records of Gus in Chile. Neither do we get any knowledge of who he was in Chile, but we do get a hint that it was something notorious based on a flashback to Mexico. http://www.aoltv.com/2011/09/06/hank-closing-in-breaking-bad-reveals-gus-past-video/

'Breaking Bad' sneak peek: Walt's double-edged advice

Even when he's giving good advice, Walter White can manage to be less than honest with himself. In this exclusive first look at Sunday's (Sept. 4) "Breaking Bad" episode, "Hermanos," Walt (Bryan Cranston) is in for his regular cancer scan when he meets a nervous, more recently diagnosed fellow patient. The guy tells a sob story about how the cancer has altered his life's plans, and Walt scoffs."Never give up control. Live life on your own terms," he says. "... One of these times -- hell, maybe even today -- I'm going to hear some bad news. But until then, who's in charge? Me. That's how I live my life."As far as the other patient knows, that's a pretty good pep talk. But we know that Walt's world has been spinning out of control for most of this season, so his words come across more as an attempt to convince himself of what he says than... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/09/breaking-bad-sneak-peek-walts-double-edged-advice.html

Jesse Promises Walt He'll Kill Gus on 'Breaking Bad' (VIDEO)

Walt and Gus have always had a contentious relationship. That happens sometimes in the crystal meth business, especially when people start dying. On Sunday's episode of 'Breaking Bad' (Sundays, 10PM on AMC), the relationship got even worse when Walt's partner, Jesse, promised to kill Gus, the man responsible for distributing the meth Walt makes. Walt pushed Jesse not to trust Gus, reminding him of all of the horrific things that have happened under Gus's watch. But to kill Gus, Jesse would have to get close to him, which would require forgetting all of those horrific things. "What about this girlfriend of yours?" said Walt. "And her little brother? The man looked you straight in the eye and told you no more children, but that very night, that little boy, he winds up -- Gus can't possibly think you'd forget that." http://www.aoltv.com/2011/08/29/jesse-promises-walt-he-will-kill-gus-on-breaking-bad-video/

Breaking Bad Promo: Do It, Jesse!

Worlds are colliding on Breaking Bad , from the cartel to the DEA. Will Gus survive the quickly-crushing walls around his drug operation? It seems unlikely, based on recent developments . Looking ahead to next Sunday, Walt will learn about Hank's case against his boss, which prompts him to pressure Jesse to get the job done. After all, if Hank is close to Gus, he's also close the men who manufacture the meth. Meanwhile, Skyler comes up with a money laundering solution.
