Summary
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (movie) Premiere: 1992 Buffy Summers (Kristy Swanson) is your typical valley girl whose whole world turns upside when Merrick Jamison-Smythe (Donald Sutherland) comes to L.A. to inform her that she is the next slayer, a female chosen to fight the things that go bump in the night, primarily vampires. As Buffy is exposed to this world, it clashes with her popular cheerleader life, and it doesn't get better when Oliver Pike (Luke Perry) has always got to be saved. But it doesn't get easier when Lothos (Rutger Hauer), a vapire legendary for killing many other slayers before Buffy, challenges her, and worse, at the senior dance.This parody of typical horror flicks is a must see and later led to the darker, more dramatic TV series of the same name.
