Another crossover between NY and Miami was featured on November 7, 2005 (CSI: Miami), and November 9, 2005 (CSI: NY), which involved a crashed plane and an escaped serial killer, and included members of both casts. Episode 322, "Cold Reveal", which aired May 9, 2007, featured a crossover between the series and Philadelphia-based police procedural Cold Case.
Like the other two CSI programs, the theme song is by The Who; this time the song is "Baba O'Riley", often incorrectly known as "Teenage Wasteland". Anthony E. Zuiker had wanted The Who's "Behind Blue Eyes" to be the show's theme song, but CBS president Leslie Moonves turned it down in favor of "Baba O'Riley". The season premiere of the fourth season featured a remixed version of the song.
Along with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and CSI: Miami, the show was renewed for a fourth season on May 16, 2007, which premiered on Wednesday September 26, 2007.
