Newspaper magnate Robert Dunbrook (Craig T. Nelson) claims he was attacked by a man in his office and that the man crashed through the window and fell 52 stories to his death. But the body disappears before the CSIs arrive, which forces the team to treat the investigation as a missing-person case.
