'CSI' brings back William Petersen, Marg Helgenberger for 2-hour series finale

"CSI's" run as a regular series is done, but fans will get a chance to say goodbye to the long-running show -- and some of its iconic characters -- in the fall.CBS has scheduled a two-hour series finale for Sunday, Sept. 27, and says original cast members William Petersen and Marg Helgenberger will return for the last episode. CSI Goes Worldwide For Shot At The Guinness Book Of Records

Call this project CSI : Earth. CBS said today it will attempt on March 4 to break the Guinness World Record for Largest Ever TV Drama Simulcast. It plans a worldwide airing of the CSI episode "Kitty," which premiered in April 2014 as the planted spinoff for CSI: Cyber . 'CSI' Season 15 finale: George Eads completes Nick Stokes' character evolution

Fans said goodbye to a veteran member of the "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" family during Sunday's (Feb. 12) Season 15 finale. Nick Stokes (George Eads) made his decision to leave the team after getting an offer to head up his own lab in San Diego.Eads departure from the show leaves Jorja Fox (Sara Sidle) as the only original "CSI" character to still be on the show.
