During the upfronts, Dawn Ostroff announced a new marketing strategy for this show using what she calls, "cwickies" (pronounced quickies), which will be used in this program to replace the traditional network advertisements. The show will be produced by Telepictures and Warner Horizon Television.

CW Now Premiere: September 23, 2007 Status: Canceled CW Now is newsmagazine series to debut on The CW beginning in the fall of 2007, which is a brand extension of the syndicated Telepictures newsmagazine Extra, and will feature anchors and correspondents from that show. The program will mostly be devoted to topics of interest to young adults (the audience targeted by the network), including entertainment and technology.
