This is actually a very sweet show. I enjoy watching it with my 3 year old son. It is not mushy, but something young boys can learn from.

In French, caillou usually means "pebble" or "stone", but it can also mean "bald head", which was most likely the writer's intention. Caillou first aired on PBS on September 4, 2000 and stopped airing on June 15, 2007. Reruns currently air on PBS.

Summary
Caillou Premiere: September 4, 2000 Caillou is based on the books by Christine L'Heureux and illustrator Ḫ̩l̮̬ne Desputeaux. Many of the stories in the animated version begin with a teacher (who's also the show's narrator) introducing the story to her students, then reading the story out of the book.
