'Adventure Time' Season 3 Blu-ray clip: Pendleton Ward explains the voices

brightcove.createExperiences(); In anticipation of the arrival of "Adventure Time" Season 3 on Blu-ray and DVD on Feb. 25, Zap2it is happy to present an exclusive clip from the Blu-ray special features. In the clip, series creator Pendleton Ward explains the motivations behind his choice of voice actors in the Cartoon Network series. "Whenever I have them on at my mom's house, usually the cartoon characters' voices are shrill and cartoony and over-the-top," Ward says. "She'll hear that and it will be really grating on her. So I try to cast more natural-sounding voices so that she can listen to something in the other room and not know that it's a cartoon and not know that it's annoying to her." That's reasoning Finn and Jake would approve of. "Adventure Time" airs Mondays at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network.... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2014/02/adventure-time-season-3-blu-ray-clip-pendleton-ward-explains-the-voices.html

Why Beware the Batman showcases Gotham's lesser known supervillains

So far, there's no Joker in Beware the Batman . Villains like Two-Face, Poison Ivy, the Penguin, and Killer Croc are all noticeably absent from Cartoon Network's CG take on the Dark Knight. That's because the writers are using Batman's more obscure rogues to tell a specific story about Bruce Wayne's psychology. Check out Batman's weird enemies and weirder head in Beware the Batman

first look at Cartoon Network's new CG Batman cartoon, Beware the Batman , isn't terrible. The CG animation is all right, the fights seems well-choreographed, and the new villains look fun. Although since Batman's oddly shaped skull indicates he's apparently a member of Homo Erectus , I'd say Bat-Mite is also involved.
