Castle returns with a new episode on May 3. To tide us over, we phoned Michael Trucco (Battlestar Galactica), who has the enviable/unenviable job of guest-starring as robbery detective Tom Demming, Beckett's new love interest, for the remainder of the season before he heads to Vancouver to shoot his own series, USA's new dramedy Facing Kate with Sarah Shahi (NBC's Life, Showtime's The L Word), in June. Beckett's new love interest on Castle isn't the only obstacle to a Castle-Beckett pairing. Monet Mazur will return as Gina Cowell, Castle's ex-wife and book editor, in the Season 2 finale, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Cowell, who last appeared in the show's pilot, turns up because Castle (Nathan Fillion) has fallen behind on his latest book. Gina hopes to get Castle back on track - in more ways than one. The old flame will be rekindled, creating some interesting reactions from Beckett (Stana Katic). However, Gina's reappearance may just open both Beckett's and Castle's eyes. Mazur has recently appeared on NCIS: Los Angeles, CSI: Miami and Cold Case. Castle's season finale airs May 17 at 10/9c on ABC. Source Here

Castle's Stana Katic likens the romantic tension between her character, Kate Beckett, and Castle (Nathan Fillion) to a dance. And in Monday's episode (10/9c, ABC) Beckett's going to switch dancing partners. When Beckett's team catches the case of a murdered thief, they look to robbery division Detective Tom Demming (Battlestar Galactica's Michael Trucco) for help with the case. And he steals Beckett's heart. "It's really wonderful to have the opportunity to show a more sensual, romantic side to Beckett," Katic tells TVGuide.com. "I think it's great having someone like Tom Denning who is genuinely interested in Kate and is formidable enough to become a bit of a competitor for Castle." However, Katic says Castle's response is more than petty jealousy. "It forces Castle to have some introspection as to why he hasn't approached her yet in that way and what's going on with his relationships and past romantic experiences," Katic says. "He's had a number of girls swing in and swing out. So, this is an opportunity for us as an audience to delve deeper into something he may not realize he's missing." To Read More Click Here .
