The fourth season of Castle may have ended several weeks ago, but even repeat episodes of our favorite show are kicking the competition’s butt. Obviously. According to ABC, the repeat of Season 4, Episode 9, “Kill Shot” drew an impressive 5.2 million viewers, making it the most-watched summer repeat ever! “Kill Shot”, which originally aired on November 21, 2011, centers around a sniper who is on a killing spree in New York City. 'Castle' gets serious: How did you like 'Kill Shot'?

"Castle" is known for its crazy cases and abundance of puns. Or maybe those are just our favorite parts. Either way, "Kill Shot" was one of the most serious and emotional episodes of the series, and we're happy to say it pulled off drama without a hitch. It's not like this was the first time "Castle" has tackled a serious topic -- the increasingly tense episodes surrounding Beckett's mom's murder at the end of Season 2, culminating in the Captain's murder and then Beckett's shooting, have all been a great change of pace from the funny investigations we're used to -- but this is one of the best times.Stana Katic's performance of the PTSD-afflicted Beckett was as emotionally affecting as we expected after speaking with the actress. Our favorite scene: After the third shooting, when Beckett runs into a bathroom, tosses down her gun, jacket and badge, and starts crying. Not a TV-pretty cry, a straight-up...

Sneak Peeks: Castle 4.09 "Kill Shot"

I think it is very safe to say that are all incredibly excited about this Castle episode. I know the one-week hiatus is darn near unbearable - trust me, the suspense is killing me too - but from the sneak peeks and the promo they released last week, it looks like the wait will be entirely worth it. In next week's episode, "Kill Shot", a sniper will be on the loose in New York City, killing apparently random people. Castle, Beckett and the rest of the team will assigned to this case, but it will immediately trigger Detective Kate Beckett's apparently dormant Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and will make her face her inner demons.
