Will 'Community' Go Back ... to the Future? Star Donald Glover Hopes So (VIDEO)

When you're starring in a hit TV show that loves to spoof pop culture, regularly employs unbelievable storylines and literally has no rules, the idea of a "dream episode" could certainly become a reality. I'm hoping that's the case with Donald Glover's ultimate 'Community' episode. Imagine Chevy Chase as a crazy old doctor, obsessed with time travel; Alison Brie as a hot teen of the 1980s, complete with faded denim jacket; and Joel McHale as a beefed-up bully in the 1950s. Then let your jaws drop as Donald Glover zooms by on his hoverboard, collar popped, jamming to some Huey Lewis. Yes, I'm asking you to imagine a time, with or without the help of a DeLorean, when we might be lucky enough to see a 'Back to the Future' episode of 'Community.'

'Community's' Yvette Nicole Brown on playing Samuel L. Jackson filtered through Shirley

The big "Pulp Fiction" episode of "Community" airs this Thursday (March 24) on NBC. In the episode, Jeff (Joel McHale) throws Abed (Danny Pudi) a surprise "Pulp Fiction-themed" birthday party, but things don't go as planned. When we caught up with star Yvette Nicole Brown at PaleyFest, she told us that putting on her costume was an eye-opening experience."My character is Samuel L. Jackson - with the mutton chops, and the suits, and the bad attitude," Brown tells Zap2it. "So, that's going to be a lot of fun. And I saw the picture of him as me and I swear it looked like my dad. I've never thought I looked like my dad in my life, but I looked in the mirror, that's my dad."As if looking like her father wasn't striking enough, we asked her if she felt the essence of the tough-talking Jackson once she was in costume."I do. Samuel L. Jackson is the...

'Lost's' Josh Holloway talks 'Community,' and taking a break from TV

In the home stretch for Season 2, "Community" caused quite a stir when news that "Lost" star, Josh Holloway (SAWYER!) is appearing in the two-part finale airing back-to-back for one hour on May 12.He plays a mysterious stranger who appears at Greendale and takes part in the reprisal of Season 1's popular paintball episode, which is also an homage to the "Spaghetti Western" made famous in the 60s by Italian director, Sergio Leone."It's a fun role," Holloway says in an interview with TV Guide. "I loved those guys. I had a really good time and they were so awesome. I'd worked with Chevy [Chase] before on a movie so I was honored to get to work with him again, and the rest of the cast."And according to Gillian Jacobs, who plays Britta, they enjoyed him right back. "He's a hunk and he looks excellent in his costume," she tells Zap2it on our set visit for...

Josh Holloway Talks Community

As the sarcastic and strapping Sawyer on Lost there were few things that rattled Josh Holloway. Taking on polar bears, the Others, and those creepy folks from the Dharma Initiative — no sweat! But when it comes to things that intimidate the actor in real life, the smoke monster doesn't hold a candle to the cast of NBC's Community .

'Community' creator Dan Harmon would like to thank the 'shippers

While "Community's" night at PaleyFest occurred before Thursday's (March 17) news that NBC has given it a third season renewal, we're sure it doesn't change who creator Dan Harmon credits for the show's success: A dedicated group of people who adopted the show and its characters very early on and feel very passionate about their couplings."It was the first 'shippers," Harmon tells Zap2it. "It was like these young girls that you see live journaling and stuff, the core of the core of the core, like people who are willing before anybody else is to go, 'I love your show, I love that character, I love that character with that character.' And I always thought that in our darkest hours no matter what competition was heaped upon us that we have this globule of an audience that will not watch anything else if we're on. And it's really important to stay thankful to those people."Harmon...

Could Senor Chang become Papa Chang? On Thursday's Community , the study group throws a baby shower for Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown). Also, Chang (Ken Jeong) has warmed up to the possibility that he could be the father of her baby, but the only problem is that Shirley feels that Andre (Malcolm Jamal Warner) would make the better, saner choice.

'Community,' 'The Office' and 'Parks and Recreation' get another season [Updated]

We're pretty sure Stage 31 on the Paramount Lot where NBC's "Community" shoots is vibrating with excitement right now. Not only has their show been moved over to the renewed column on NBC's scheduling board, but "The Office" and "Parks and Recreation" move over, as well, to join its Thursday comedy block buddies."I am so pleased to renew these three outstanding comedies which are all at the top of their game creatively," says NBC Entertainment Chairman, Bob Greenblatt. "Along with '30 Rock,' they represent the best of what the NBC comedy brand stands for in terms of originality, wit, and sophistication.""Community," while garnering much critical acclaim, has had as star Yvette Nicole Brown called at PaleyFest recently, "a small, but mighty audience." With an average 4.7 million viewers overall, the show consistently does well in a time period that includes competition from Fox' "American Idol," CBS's "Big Bang Theory" and ABC's "Wipeout.""The Office" will go on without Steve Carell's Michael...
