Community Spoilers: Flashbacks and Paintball to Come

A baby, a paintball war and references to Who's The Boss ?. As previewed at the Community panel discussion last night at PaleyFest, these are just some of the developments fans of this NBC sitcom can expect over the next few weeks. Let's take a look at what various cast and crew members teased about what's to come... Creator Dan Harmon hyped a flashback episode that he described as a "memory clip-show." Shirley will give birth prior to the season finale, and the identity of the father will be obvious at that time. Abed will soon enroll in a Who’s the Boss? history class. Naturally. Magnitude will POP POP in some way on the season finale. Look for his funniest moment yet. Pierce will play a key role in the next paintball war, with Chevy Chase telling fans: “I do something in it that will surprise all of you. I won’t say Josh Holloway is involved, but you’ll see.” http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/03/community-spoilers-flashbacks-and-paintball-to-come/

Community Finale Scoop: Josh Holloway vs. Joel McHale in a Sergio Leone Gunslinger Showdown?

In case you haven't heard,   Lost  star   Josh Holloway   (that's Sawyer, yo!) is guest-starring in the season finale of NBC's cult-hit comedy   Community  as a "mysterious stranger." Now, when we add up the fact that producers teased a " Sergio Leone   homage" for the finale and the fact that finale is a bookend to last year's fan-fave paintball episode, plus this   "Wanted" poster  from the set, plus Holloway's whole look, we start to get the feeling that Holloway is going to be playing Greendale's own dangerous and elusive Man With No Name. Will he be shooting it out with someone from the study group, most likely   Joel McHale 's designated alpha male Jeff Winger? Here's what the stars of   Community  told us about the show's fateful finale:   Read More... http://feeds.eonline.com/~r/eonline/kristin/~3/r9g-GArXhqM/b231218_community_finale_scoop_josh_holloway_vs.html

'Community' S2 finale first look: Behind the scenes of apocalyptic Greendale

You didn't think we'd spend a whole day on the set of NBC's "Community" season finale and not take a few photos of "Apocalyptic Greendale" as Danny Pudi, who plays Abed, likes to describe it.He's not kidding. It looks like an earthquake struck in the middle of a riotous party. The series is revisiting last season's "Modern Warfare" episode and its raging paintball war. Sadly, guest star, "Lost" star Josh Holloway, wasn't on set. He shot his scenes last week. The walls are covered with paint splatters, which are still wet (and we have the ruined shirt to prove it). The set design team went all out and we think you'll be impressed. Also, everyone is decked out in their western costume best (though we hear that at least one other cult movie/ genre will also get a nod in the finale).Take a look at some of the behind the scenes photos we took during our visit:Is... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/community-s2-finale-first-look-behind-the-scenes-of-apocalyptic-greendale.html

'Community' season finale: There will be a kiss, but between who?

Zap2it spent the day on NBC's "Community" set for the taping of the season finale and we have to tell you it was quite a sight. As Danny Pudi, who plays Abed, refers to it, it is "apocalyptic Greendale."The episode revisits the epic "Modern Warfare" episode aka "the paintball episode," but definitely turns it up several notches. We hear there will be at least two movie genres represented in the two-part finale airing back-to-back for one hour on May 12. And as we reported, "Lost's" Josh Holloway (Sawyer!) is guest starring in the season finale as the mysterious stranger who turns up at Greendale. Also, expect your favorite characters to be suited up both appropriately and inappropriately for the occasion. Plus, lots of fun action hero stunts! We did learn something on-set that might surprise viewers: Two of our beloved characters will share a kiss. After last season's finale Annie-Jeff kiss threw the fans for a loop,... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/community-season-finale-there-will-be-a-kiss-but-between-who.html

'Community' first look at the 'Pulp fiction' episode: Say 'Royale with cheese'!

The "Pulp Fiction" episode of "Community" airs March 24 and we've been really excited to see how Jeff (Joel McHale) pulls off a surprise birthday party for Abed (Danny Pudi), who's typically aware of everything that's going down at the school. And in true Greendale fashion, we hear Jeff's plans don't go off without a few hitches. We've already shared a first look photo from the episode, but NBC just released a few more. Check them out below:From left, Shirley (Yvette Nicole Brown) as Jules, Britta (Gillian Jacobs) as Mia, Chang (Ken Jeong) as Butch, and Annie (Alison Brie) as Yolanda.Troy (Donald Glover) as Ringo.Pierce (Chevy Chase) as "The Gimp," which is as frightening as it is hilarious. That leaves Jeff as John Travolta's Vincent, no?... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/03/community-first-look-at-the-pulp-fiction-episode-say-royale-with-cheese.html

'Community': What do Levar Burton and Troy have in common?

How thrilled were you to find that NBC's "Community" pulled another act of metariority (that's "meta superiority," Britta) by bringing on Levar Burton to guest star as himself. He was Pierce's (Chevy Chase) evil bequeathal to Troy (Donald Glover) and part of the old man's master plan to make the study group pay for under-appreciating him.Of course, Levar Burton deserves Troy's frightened stare. After all, he's the man. Who's Levar Burton? Well, in the "Community" world he was known for three things: "Reading Rainbow," "Star Trek: The Next Generation," and for playing the role of Kunta Kinte in the ABC miniseries, "Roots." Most viewers probably know him from "Roots." "Roots" basically made him a household name. But, the sci-fi geek in us most loves him as Geordi La Forge, the Enterprise's Chief Engineer. And you know what, there's one thing about that character that reminds us of Troy and Abed (Danny Pudi). Geordi's bromance with the awkward... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/02/community-the-many-faces-of-levar-burton.html

Yvette Nicole Brown on Her 'Community' Pregnancy, Stalking Guest Stars and Obsessive Twitter Fans

In the world of 'Community,' getting your dream guest star on the show can be easy as asking. Star Yvette Nicole Brown actively campaigned for her character Shirley's husband, Andre, to be played by Malcolm-Jamal Warner. And just like that, it happened! "Lord knows I talked about him enough on the set in the first season," Brown told me when she stopped by TV Squad's offices recently to dish about the NBC comedy (Thursdays, 8PM ET). "The idea that they actually listened to my foolishness and my campaigning and brought this wonderful man on set has made me happy beyond belief." http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/02/17/yvette-nicole-brown-community-interview/
