Remember when we said that the Thursday at 8 p.m. timeslot war would be fun to watch play out on Twitter? That was before we even knew about this. NBC's Community will debut a Twittersode  just prior to the comedy's Sept. 23 return. Over the course of 80 tweets (starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT Thursday), the characters will communicate back and forth in what's described as a ''prequel'Â' scene to their return to Greendale Community College as sophomores. They'll make arrangements for their first meet-up of the year, as well as preparations for their first class, Anthropology 101 (taught by guest star Betty White). You can watch the Twittersode unfold on www.NBC.COM/CommunityTwittersode, or, of course, in your Twitter feed, if you follow the individual characters. (Here's that excuse you've been needing to check out @AnniesB00bs. Full list of the characters official Twitter accounts below.) To Read More Click Here .
Community will celebrate the holiday season with a special stop-motion animated Christmas episode, TVGuide.com has learned. "It's going to be like a timeless Christmas classic in the stop-motion medium that used to give us so much happiness as children," creator and executive producer Dan Harmon told reporters Friday. Harmon wrote the episode with Dino Stamatopoulos, who plays Star-Burns on the series. The episode will be completely animated like such Christmas classics as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town, but Harmon that the episode is not necessarily a departure from Community's storytelling. I added a few must-watch new shows to my DVR last fall, but of all the returning sophomore shows this year, I'm most excited for 'Community.' If they proved anything in Season 1 (with episodes focusing on paintball wars, awkward school dances and chicken fingers), it's that they can -- and will -- do just about anything. I visited the set of 'Community' to catch up with the cast before Season 2 premieres (Thurs., Sept. 23, 8PM ET on NBC), and the episode they were shooting that day was epic ... but more on that closer to premiere. For now, don't you just want to see your favorite Greendale Human Beings in action? To Read More Click Here .
Hollywood's go-to guest star pops up again, this time on the Sept. 23 season premiere of NBC's Community. So who does Betty White play? Well, she is my lover, deadpans series star Joel McHale. And she is really experimental - it was disturbing. Okay, he's kidding. In all seriousness, the 88-year-old portrays demented professor June Bauer, who teaches an anthropology class at the community college where ex-lawyer Jeff (McHale) is enrolled. Source Here
Why is Joel McHale wearing a bandage on his nose? The answer is contained in the behind-the-scenes preview for "Community" that's below. As McHale himself explains, the second season of NBC's comedy will contain "a lot of violence." Given everything that went down in last season's finale, we can understand why someone might want to punch Jeff Winger. To Read More Click Here .
As apparent from the promotional photos, Betty White is armed and dangerous in her guest starring role on "Community". Described as "an esteemed, but slightly unhinged anthropology professor", White's June is seen holding an ancient weapon and aiming it at Joel McHale's Jeff. Speaking of the experience working with the veteran actress, McHale told Billy Bush, "She plays a murderous anthropology professor and she tries to kill me. She really does try to assault me numerous times. And she drinks her own urine ...and I am not joking!" But he was joking when he said, "It's very torrid, very graphic, really intense I don't know if we can show it at 8 o'clock." McHale also spilled a little more, saying the 88-year-old would display her language skill. "She also speaks in foreign languages, including Swahili and I'm not kidding!" McHale said. Betty White's appearance is in the season premiere that airs September 23 on NBC. Source & More Photos
The Emmys red carpet isn't just about fashion: TV's hottest stars arrive with lots of scoop to unload. Stars including Jane Lynch, Tina Fey, Mariska Hargitay and Jim Parsons unburdened themselves to TVGuide.com about such subjects as Sue's new nemesis on Glee, a Modern Family addition, and Betty White's plans on Community. 1. Glee's Sue, Part 2: Jane Lynch's Sue Sylvester may be evil, but new coach Shannon Beiste (Dot Jones) is even more sinister. "In the beginning, Sue is a little threatened by the new football coach, who is a 6'4" woman," says Lynch. "She and Schuester [Matthew Morrison] band together to destroy her. She tries to be the new Sue, but she's very vulnerable and I know her weak spot. I find it, exploit it, and destroy her as best I can." To Read More Click Here .
