'Community': Does Greendale Really Exist, Or Are They Crazy?

Celebrating a 13-episode fourth season renewal, fans of " Community " (Thu., 8 p.m. ET on NBC) tuned in to the latest episode where they were left to question whether or not everything they had witnessed to date on the show was real or not. But they weren't the only ones confused. John Hodgman guest-starred as a psychiatrist brought in to analyze Abed after his latest trip to Greendale. The study group was expelled last episode -- two months ago in show time -- and Abed was struggling with the transition worse than the others. They all came in for the therapy session, where Hodgman's character convinced them that none of it was real. There was no Greendale Community College. In fact, they were all institutionalized. There was even a cutaway to this supposed reality, with the study group referencing various episodes throughout the series' run. While it would have made for a fun cliffhanger, the truth did come out. Hodgman was hired by Chang to fool the gang and keep them away from the school and his fake Dean. Looks like a face-off is coming before the season -- not series! YAY! -- is over. "Community" wraps its season next week with three different episodes, airing one at 8 p.m. ET and the last two back-to-back starting at 9 p.m. ET. TV Replay scours the vast television landscape to find the most interesting, amusing, and, on a good day, amazing moments, and delivers them right to your browser.

'Community' Season Finale Gets Super-Sized!

If you love " Community ," then Thurs., May 17 will be a very cool, cool, cool treat. Sure, fans have all been fighting for six seasons and a movie, but three episodes for a finale isn't bad either. According to The Futon Critic , NBC will be airing 90 minutes of "Community" for its big Season 3 finale, right smack in the middle of May sweeps. The finale, which was originally set to be an hour long with back-to-back episodes, is getting another episode thrown in the mix, bookending that night's Season 6 finale of "30 Rock" (8:30 p.m. ET). While some may see this as the network trying to burn off remaining episodes of the show, others view it as a vote of confidence for "Community," which has always struggled in the ratings, but has seen an uptick the past few weeks after its hiatus. Airing three episodes of any show on one night is a bold move, but doing it during the "all eyes on us" time of May sweeps is an added bonus. Maybe a Season 4 renewal isn't far behind? No official word yet on the show's fate just yet, but we'll know about all of NBC's renewals, pickups and cancellations by Mon., May 14. Excited? Will you be planning any theme watch parties -- from the comfort of a pillow fort perhaps? Tell us in the comments.
