Yvette Nicole Brown Wants a Muppet Community

Last spring, Community 's "Lupine Urology" episode set a new standard for what a homage could entail. Since then, we've had our own wish list of shows and styles we want Community to tackle, and earlier today, Yvette Nicole Brown shared her dream genre for the show. "I've been begging for a full on Muppet episode where we're all made of felt and bounce around instead of walk," she said over in a Reddit AMA . Ding ding ding, we have a winner. (Sure, 30 Rock did a little bit of Muppet vision, but there's plenty of puppetry to go around.) Community won't quite be the same next year without genre-bender extraordinaire Dan Harmon, but is it really Community at all if the new regime can't do a style parody? http://www.vulture.com/2012/07/community-muppets-yvette-nicole-brown-reddit.html

'Community': Bob Greenblatt on the show's future and NBC's comedy 'transition'

NBC chairman Bob Greenblatt was asked at Tuesday's (July 24) Television Critics Association press tour session if he would "categorically rule out another season for 'Community.'""There are a couple negatives in that sentence. I would categorically not rule out that it's not the last season," Greenblatt jokes. Less confusingly, he adds, "I would love nothing more than for 'Community' to have a following on Fridays and to be able to continue."Greenblatt does acknowledge, though, that NBC is "in transition" with its comedy programming, and "Community's" move to Friday nights and initial shorter episode order for Season 4 is part of that."We're trying to broaden our audience and broaden what the network does," he says. "Those Thursday comedies, which the critics love and we love, tend to be more narrow than we'd ultimately like as we go forward. 'Community' is a show that's been always on the bubble, and we decided to bring it back again... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2012/07/community-bob-greenblatt-on-the-shows-future-and-nbcs-comedy-transition.html
