'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 8 trailer: Larry being Larry

The setting is changing for Season 8 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," but the Larry remains the same.HBO has released a trailer for the coming season of "Curb," which takes Larry David to New York. If anything, we'd have figured that his particular brand of misanthropy would fit in better in the Big Apple, but alas, that does not appear to be the case. In the teaser (first posted by TV Squad), you'll catch glimpses of guest stars Michael J. Fox, Robert Smigel and Rich Sommer ("Mad Men"), along with regular and semi-regular "Curb" players Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, J.B. Smoove and Bob Einstein (though not Cheryl Hines). "Curb Your Enthusiasm" returns to HBO on Sunday, July 10. Here's the trailer:...

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Season 8 Preview -- Larry's Back! (VIDEO)

Forget what Larry David tells you to do and get excited people -- Season 8 of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' looks amazing. Larry's back for more politically and socially incorrect behavior, and he's got some big guest stars coming to play. In this exclusive preview, we spot Michael J. Fox, 'Mad Men' star Rich Sommer and Paul F. Tompkins among the familiar funny faces. There's also his old pal Jeff (Jeff Garlin) and his wife Susie (Susie Essman), Marty Funkhouser (Bob Einstein) and Leon (J.B. Smoove). Who don't we see? Cheryl (Cheryl Hines), for one. Of course last season ended with the two of them reuniting ... and then Cheryl instantly remembering why she left him in the first place. (Damn you Julia Louis-Dreyfus and your water-ringed furniture!)

Michael J. Fox and Michael Gross to Guest Star on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm'

Get ready for Keaton time on 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' It's been announced that both Michael J. Fox and his 'Family Ties' onscreen father Michael Gross will be guest-starring on the upcoming Season 8. According to, Fox will play himself in Episode 10, in which 'Curb' uses Fox's real-life battle with Parkinson's Disease as a comedic plot device. "Larry moves to New York and takes the apartment below ours," says Fox. The famously irascible Larry then believes that Fox is "being symptomatic just to annoy him -- a whole passive-aggressive thing. He's complaining because I'm shuffling and making noise upstairs. It's very funny." Read More...

'Curb Your Enthusiasm': Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais show up in Season 8 preview

HBO has released the first real look at the upcoming season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm," premiering July 10, and though it makes little promise of plot, there are more than enough guest stars to compensate. Michael J. Fox, Ricky Gervais, Rosie O'Donnell and Anna Gasteyer are among the actors showing up for the 10-episode run, alongside Larry David and returning co-stars Jeff Garlin, Cheryl Hines, Susie Essman and J.B. Smoove. The two-minute spot is great if you, like us, want to see David exploit Fox's Parkinson's Disease for awkward humor or go at it with Rosie O'Donnell during a softball game (obviously). And it's nice to know that they keep things light behind the scenes of "Curb Your Enthusiasm." We worry that all that uncomfortable tone might be hard to get rid of when the cameras stop rolling....

'Curb Your Enthusiasm': Larry takes Manhattan in Season 8

Here's what we know about Season 8 of "Curb Your Enthusiasm": It's set and filmed in New York. And that's about it. (OK, we also know that Ricky Gervais will have a cameo, and that at least one subplot will involve a Larry David having a Soup Nazi-esque run-in at a restaurant). As for why David decided to switch coasts for the eighth season, or when that season will air, well, David and HBO aren't saying. The text at the end of the teaser trailer above only says "Coming," not "Coming on X date." But teasers have been built on less, and so we present to you the first look at a terrifyingly large Larry David stalking the streets of the Big Apple....
