While "Dancing With the Stars" celebrated their 200th episode, they were joined by Taylor Swift, who also had a milestone achievement to celebrate tonight -- the pop-country sweetheart sold over one million copies of her album "Speak Now" in its first week on shelves. Swift, with her sparkly guitar in hand, sang her newest single, "Mine," while some of the pros performed a beautiful routine. Later, she sang "White Horse" from her last record, "Fearless." The song was accompanied by a montage of favorite moments from previous seasons - and punctuated by a starstruck Tom Bergeron "fainting," in homage to Marie Osmond's collapse during her run on the show. Rod Stewart also took to the stage, and later in the evening, basketball player and TV personality Rick Fox was eliminated despite his well-received quickstep this week. Source & Video
"Things have changed since we last spoke," Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba told TV Guide Magazine as she headed to her trailer after Monday night's show. Inaba is referring to Brandy's surprising power surge, while early favorite Jennifer Grey seems to be hanging on to the top spot by her fingernails. Just three weeks ago, Inaba was concerned that Brandy was showing a bit of desperation. "I think that Brandy does have a bit of over-zealousness in the way she approaches her dances," Inaba said at the time. "I think she should take a step back and find her own elegance. I do feel that she's trying a little too hard and that this is a huge moment in her life. I remember listening to her music when I was a dancer. She had some great hit songs. And to go from that to the unfortunate series of events that happened to her recently, I think that does carry a lot of weight. But people don't want to see that [on the dance floor]." Happy 200th episode, Dancing With the Stars! In honor of the event (9/8c, ABC), Tom Bergeron — the ringmaster of TV's hottest show — discusses this season's highs and lows so far. (Hint: Inappropriate groping counts as both!) To Read More Click Here.
It's not just dances this week. In celebration of Dancing with the Stars' 200th episode on Monday, the show will have a host of special guest celebrities on hand to lead dance teams and to judge. And, as is so often the case when it comes to anniversaries, expect the old to mix with the new. The standard judging panel of Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba will be joined by six celebrities -- and former DWTS competitors. Mel B, Helio Castroneves, Drew Lachey, Gilles Marini, Kelly Osbourne and Emmitt Smith will all be on hand to judge a dance apiece. And they will not be judging just any dance. Instead, each guest judge will see one of their own performances recreated on the DWTS dance floor. This season's competitors must both recreate and update the old dances to meet the approval of the regular judges and the dance's originator. To Read More Click here.
