Danny Robert Elfman is an award-winning composer of music for films, TV-series and video-games. He is probably best known for composing the main theme of The Simpsons and Desperate Housewives (for which he won an Emmy award) and for his extensive collaboration with director Tim Burton, for whom he has done the score of almost all his films.
