TV ratings: 'Celebrity Apprentice' opens higher, 'Galavant' on par with 'OUAT' Sunday

"The Celebrity Apprentice" outperformed its most recent debut by a good amount in the Fast National ratings for Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, rising six tenths of a point in adults 18-49 over the 2013 premiere. The improvement helped NBC finish second in the demo for the night behind FOX, whose NFL wild-card game ran into primetime and gave "The Simpsons" and "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" big boosts.Also Sunday, the premiere of "Galavant" posted ratings in line with what "Once Upon a Time" had been drawing in the 8 o'clock hour, but "Resurrection" and "Revenge" both returned low. "Madam Secretary," "The Good Wife" and "CSI" were all on par with their season averages for CBS.FOX averaged 16.9 million viewers and a 9.3 rating/14 share in households, pending updates for its NFL telecast. New episodes of both shows -- the only regularly scheduled, non-repeats of the night -- failed to win their timeslots. Fast National ratings for Sunday, July 22, 2012The finale of "The Bachelorette" didn't deliver much in the way of surprises, but it did bring home some solid ratings and carried ABC to a win Sunday night.The finale was up some over last year's final rose ceremony and gave ABC its best non-sports summer numbers in several years. Elsewhere, the Teen Choice Awards on FOX fell overall from last year, but they did lead the night in the target audience of, you guessed it, teenagers.ABC averaged 7.9 million viewers and a 5.0 rating/9 share in households in primetime, easily topping second-place CBS' 5.2 million viewers and 3.4/6. NBC (3.6 million 2.4/4) came in third, and FOX (2.7 million, 1.6/3) trailed.ABC also scored a sizable win in the adults 18-49 demographic -- its 2.6 rating more than doubled the average for CBS (1.2). The NFC defeated the AFC in Honolulu, Hawaii, while an average of over 12 million people watched at home.Meanwhile, CBS ran "The Lost Valentine," a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Jennifer Love Hewitt and Betty White, which built its audience throughout the night. The first new shows of the 2010-11 season roll out this week, but the broadcast networks pretty much took Labor Day off (only ABC had more than an hour of original programming). CBS' reruns got more eyeballs than anyone else's. CBS drew 6.1 million viewers and a 3.8 rating/6 share in households Monday night. NBC (5 million, 3.2/5) narrowly beat ABC (4.8 million, 3.1/5) for second place. FOX came in fourth with 3.3 million viewers and a 2.1/3. The CW (709,000, 0.5/1) was a non-factor. A second hometown-girlfriend kerfuffle on "The Bachelorette" led ABC to a ratings win Monday night, improving on its performance from last week. ABC led the night with 8.5 million viewers and a 5.5 rating/9 share in households, beating second-place CBS (6 million, 4.0/7) by a good margin. NBC (4.7 million, 3.0/5) narrowly beat FOX (4.6 million, 2.8/5) for third. The CW trailed with 1.05 million viewers and a 0.6/1.
