Death Note is a Japanese manga series originally written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The series primarily centers around a high school student named Light Yagami, who decides to rid the world of evil with the help of a supernatural notebook called the Death Note that kills anyone whose name is written in it.

Just like the first special, Death Note Rewrite 2: L o Tsugu Mono summarized a part of the 2006–2007 television anime episodes. Specifically, it recounted the final half of the suspenseful supernatural story, including the investigators Near and Mello’s confrontations with Kira.
