Showtime to Start Filming 'Dexter' Season 4 in May - Featured

After three critically acclaimed seasons, the dark Showtime series about that lovable serial killer is due to come back later this year, as it begins shooting for season 4 in May, Dexter star Michael C. Hall confirms. In an interview with Jonathan Ross in his BBC show in the UK, the actor who plays the titular character on the show reiterates that they've been signed for two more seasons, each with 12 episodes. Meanwhile, Dexter executive producer Sara Colleton tells Vanity Fair that in February and March, they spend just coming up with the idea for the season, what its themes will be, what aspects of humanity we want Dexter to butt up against, and what we want to do with the secondary characters. It always starts with talking about themes and going back and reviewing past seasons, she says, adding that while the first two seasons set up the classic origin story, the third one is different, as it dealt with Dexter rebelling against his father to find out who he really is. Showtime hasn't released any details on how season 4 would shape up. Hall reveals, however, that eventually, Dexter has to end, and resolve itself in a satisfying way. Asked if suicide is the grand conclusion to his character's life, Hall hints that it's not a likely ending. Kill himself? Well, he said that that is a reprehensible idea to him, but you never know. In the December conclusion of the third season of Dexter, he managed to escape from The Skinner just in time to make it to his wedding. This after killing Miguel, whom he shared his secret with, and framing the Skinner. The season 4 of Dexter is set to air this fall. It also stars Julie Benz, Lauren Velez, and Jennifer Carpenter, among others. Source Here

Season 2 Release date

The production itself has been taking place since January this year. Alan Ball dished out on the second season, "There are new romances for Tara, Jason and Sara. Bill and Sookie have a lot of issues to sort out - including having made a new teenage vampire that's living in their house. Bill and Sookie also go to Dallas to find one of their own who has gone missing." On another dose of "True Blood" news, Valerie Cruz ("Dexter") has been cast as an elegant Hispanic vampire named Isabel. via aceshowbiz.com Also pointed out on true blood wiki

Dexter Season 4 Teaser

This teaser has been floating around for awhile, but I had not managed to see it until just now: Dexter Season 4 Teaser Love it!

Dexter Stars Get Married

Dexter stars Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter, who have quietly been dating for a year and a half, got married on New Year's Eve. It is the second wedding for Hall. Let's just hope the new happy couple can keep their chemistry away from the screen, as that might be a little bit creepy, seeing as the two play on-screen siblings... Source: TV Guide

Most Watchable Men of the Year

Jon Hamm - Mad Men As Don Draper (the boozing, womanizing, ad man with a dark past) Jon Hamm is perfection. He's Old Hollywood handsome and impossibly cool. He wades through the complexities of a flawed character, managing to make him engaging and likable while he sins. Hugh Laurie - House MD House is a pill-popping, narcissistic, sardonic curmudgeon with skewed morals and a gimpy leg. On paper ...continue reading

TVGuide.com's Top 10 Moments of the Week: Two Weddings and a Funeral

It was a week of miracles: Generosity thawed hearts. A killer found love. Tom Cruise went on TV without doing anything weird, and Valkyrie looks pretty good! With good will toward all, we bring you our Top Moments , holiday edition. 10. Best Bloody Wedding: Dexter 's third season ended with the day we never thought we'd see, but his nuptials weren't all sappy. The drops of blood that ran from Dexter's cast to Rita's dress hinted at not a just a fabric stain, but a symbolicstain on their relationship. Oh, you fancy writers! 9. Most Crush-Worthy Newcomer: We've seen Ted as a friend, boyfriend, husband-to-be, and now as an overbearing big brother. How I Met Your Mother introduced his sister, played by Erin Cahill, a deft comedic presence who happens to be girl-next-door gorgeous. 8. Most Extreme Attention-Getting Tactic: Leverage knows how to get us lusting for vengeance: Kill a bunch of horses in a suspicious stable fire. We didn't see them engulfed, mercifully, but did have to endure this line: "In a fire, Mr. Ford, horses scream." It all leads to another entertaining insurance con with plenty of - sorry - horse-trading, and we'd like to offer the show a deal of our own: We'll keep watching if you lay off the ponies. 7. Cute-Girl-with-a-Gun Award: Sometimes we forget Chuck 's Sarah Walker is a trained CIA agent. She reminded us this week by killing another rogue spy to protect Chuck, then flat-out lying about it with that warm smile we've grown to love. Never have our adoration and fear walked so closely. 6. Best Plan: Tom Cruise reunites with Matt Lauer on Today to acknowledge he "came across arrogant" in their 2005 interview/argument - and explain why he isn't talking about Scientology in interviews for Valkyrie : "When people are tuning in to hear about my movie... that's what I'm here to talk about." Dang, we wanted to hear more about psychiatry. 5. So Far, So Good Award: David Gregory survives his first week hosting Meet the Press despite having to repeatedly pronounce "Blagojevich." (It's Bluh-GOY-uh-vich.) 4. Biggest Mess: Saturday Night Live 's last show of the year featured shaky, quiet vocals from Kanye West, a painful sketch about singing lamps, and an impression of New York's blind governor that drew rebukes from him and many others. We're split on whether it was good or bad, but good for the show for continuing to take risks at the end of a year when everyone was talking about it again. 3. Best Hug-It-Out Moment Not on Entourage: The Big Bang Theory 's socially inept and OCD-afflicted Sheldon forgets his hang-ups when frenemy Penny surprises him with the greatest Christmas gift a geek could imagine: a signed, used napkin from Leonard Nimoy. After convulsing, squeaking and buying her five gift baskets he admits aren't enough, he moves in for a long, sweetly awkward hug. 2. International WTF Award: President Bush drops in on Iraq, and, and things go a little wild, as they tend to do there. An angry local journalist hurls his shoes at the commander-in-chief, who demonstrates impressive reflexes by ducking and returning to the line of fire just in time to dodge shoe number two. Bush is quick with the spin too, saying the incident demonstrates Iraqis' newfound freedoms. But the real test is whether his attacker ever sets foot in public again. 1. Worst Ad for Patron: The leaders of the hip-hop industry give many a free shout-out to Patron tequila, so it should survive the following anti-endorsement from The Hills ' Heidi and Spencer, recorded the morning after their supposed wedding in Mexico... Year in Review: Hottest Baddies, Part 2

Entourage - Ari Gold You could argue that other Entourage characters - like movie star Vincent Chase - are baddies too, but the definite show stealer of Entourage has got to be Ari. By normal standards, I wouldn't necessarily call Ari physically hot (maybe I'm wrong), but his character certainly elevates him to that hot baddie level. His witty scathing remarks (does Ari ever lose an argument?) and general fearlessness to do whatever it takes to get his clients what they need is just undeniably...hot. True Blood - Eric Northman Why is Eric a hot baddie? Watch this clip . From the moment this guy made an appearance on True Blood , 2 things were very clear: 1) Eric is trouble. 2) Eric is smoking hot. Eric oozes confidence; vampires and people alike walk into Fangtasia and are drawn to Eric (as we overheard a guy's thoughts in one TB episode: "He's so powerful. He's so beautiful. Just walk up there and offer yourself to him!"). However, because Eric is such a big deal, he must summon you first if you wish to speak with him. A fun tidbit: Eric is played by actor Alexander Skarsgard (son of Stellan), who was voted the sexiest man in Sweden 5 times! Desperate Housewives - Edie Britt When I'm a 40+ year old woman (which if you were wondering, I am not), I imagine that Edie is the sort of woman that I'll be jealous of. Edie Britt is the one that everyone is secretly jealous of...because for an "old" lady (I know, 40 isn't actually that old), Edie is still smoking hot. However, on Wisteria Lane, Edie is also a source of controversy and trouble. She's always on the outskirts of the inner-circle, because frankly, she can't be trusted. In Edie's defense, she is generally upfront about the fact that nothing or nobody comes before Edie Britt. She's arguably the strongest woman (mentally) on Wisteria Lane, which is pretty hot also. Friday Night Lights - Tim Riggins We love Tim Riggins (of Friday Night Lights , one of the Top 10 Shows You're Not Watching ) because he's a baddie with a heart. Don't get us wrong...he's still a baddie, because spoiler alert he did sleep with his paralyzed best friend's girlfriend and regularly shows up at football practice/school drunk. However, Tim Riggins also does thoughtful things like protect the coach's daughter from making bad decisions at parties when drunk...at his own expense. Dexter - Dexter Morgan This one might be the most controversial, but to me, Dexter's style of vigilante justice (murder included) is pretty hot. I actually also find Michael C. Hall's character of Dexter to be reasonably adorable as well. Conclusion: I'd date Dexter. Am I deranged? Don't care. Think we've missed some hot baddies? Share 'em in comments! Dexter Controversial Finale

I was as surprised as anyone when, last night on Dexter only one person died! And it was the guy threatening Dexter's life! A happy ending and relatively un-dramatic ending was the last thing I expected, especially after there were so many rumours that as many as 3 people would be killed! I'm not sure that this is such a bad thing though, and am reassured by this Q&A with Clyde Phillips that the darkness and suspense that we love so much will return next season.
