"Dexter's" final season just took an interesting twist in "This Little Piggy," one we can't wait to see play out over the final seven episodes. Don't keep reading if you haven't watched the episode yet. The Brain Surgeon story arc has come to an end, courtesy of Yates kidnapping Dr. Vogel and Dexter and Deb subsequently saving her and Dexter killing Yates in the process -- which Deb is totally cool with. Correct us if we're misinterpreting, but Deb seems to be starting to regard Evelyn as her own mother figure, just like Dexter has been. We were actually thinking of them as a little (psychopath) family before the episode even ended with them on Dexter's boat and him saying he wanted to be with "family." It's too early in the season to think Evelyn and her children (and grandchild!) will sail off into the sunset, working together to dispatch bad guys, so we wonder... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/07/dexter-season-8-episode-5-this-little-piggy-the-family-that-kills-together.html
At at recent Comic Con panel, Dexter star Jennifer Carpenter dropped some rather surprising news. As much as some people want their shows to end with them being heroes, it seems Jennifer has different plans for Dexter's sis, Deb. In typically cryptic fashion, fitting with the shows themes perfectly, she stated she has some rather dark wishes for her character's finale. She wants her to die. Though her reasons might surprise you. READ MORE...

Can Deb ever forgive Dexter? "I don't think that you'll ever see Debra be with Dexter the way she did early in the series. She will never support or champion his Dark Passenger, but she will find a way to co-exist," the actress tells THR. http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/thr/television/~3/wGCLrKhljZk/story01.htm

Bethany Joy Lenz knew, in joining "Dexter" for its final round, that anything could happen to her character. And anything can, especially since she plays a potential love interest for the serial killer (Michael C. Hall). The "One Tree Hill" alum makes her first appearance in the concluding Season 8 of the Showtime series Sunday (July 21), with her alter ego Cassie guided by babysitter Jamie (Aimee Garcia) toward a romantic set-up with Dexter."I'm a huge fan of the show," Lenz tells Zap2it, "so I was beside myself when I got the part. Networks like Showtime and HBO are very secretive about their shows, which is part of why it's always so tantalizing, especially for an actor. You don't know quite what you're walking into, but you trust the quality of the work and the people you're working with.""Dexter" star and executive producer Hall proved himself one of those people for Lenz, who declares working with... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2013/07/dexter-season-8-one-tree-hills-bethany-joy-lenz-beside-myself-to-join-as-love-interest.html

Midway through its 8th season now, Showtime’s Dexter is the show that put Showtime on the radar. Not only has it been immensely popular as a premium TV show, but it was arguably the best show of all-time when it was at its best. Starting out in a tiny room when they came to Comic-Con years ago, Dexter made its last appearance in San Diego earlier tonight. Acting more as a farewell than a preview, the panel was the highlight of the evening, as it brought the executive producers and most all regular cast members together. This includes Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, Desmond Harrington, David Zayas, Aimee Garcia, and Yvonne Strahovski. The surprises, though, were Lauren Velez (LaGuerta), Julie Benz (Rita), and Erik King (Doakes). Fittingly, Doakes was wearing a shirt donning his infamous catch-phrase (which I can’t repeat here). READ MORE...
