This series features the first eight Doctors. The 9th and 10th Doctor were shown in 2005's Doctor Who series, which can be found at Doctor Who (2005).
Missing Episodes
Unfortunately not all episodes of the series are still available, as the BBC followed a practice of wiping old tapes to reuse them. All in all, 27 serials are missing completely or partially. Also, from some episodes only the audio remained.
Some have been reconstructed from off-screen photographs, remaining clips and other footage (called recons), others have been animated.
Here follows a list of the missing episodes an the type of reconstruction used on them, if any:

The Third Doctor's serials were produced in color, but due to the wiping of tapes, some episodes exist only in monochrome:
- 053 - The Ambassadors of Death - Only episodes 1 & 5 of 7 in color
- 056 - The Mind of Evil - All episodes in monochrome
- 068 - Planet of the Daleks - Episode 3 of 6 in monochrome
- 071 - Invasion of the Dinosaurs - Episode 1 of 6 in monochrome
