As Lofty goes to insert his key into the door to open the café, he is surprised to find the door already ajar. Inside he sees Ali sitting all alone, who doesn't respond when Lofty asks him how he is doing. Inside he sees Ali sitting all alone, who doesn't respond when Lofty asks him how he is doing. When he tries again, asking him how Sue is doing, Ali says he doesn't know, she is still at Deb & Andy's. He then tells Lofty about the emptiness he feels... how strange it was to look at his son... who was so lively before.. and how he now looks so different. He says he just cant get over it.
