Today is the day that Ian confronts his opponent at the boxing club. After Ali, who is going around taking bets that Ian will lose, visits Deb, asking if she's interested, and leaves, she tells Andy that she recognised Ali's voice as the person's making the obscene phone calls. She then suggests that they invite him to dinner to in order to confront him with his problem, before Andy rushes over to the café to confront Ali. Since he is extremely busy with customers, this prevents Andy from saying anything to him at first. When the opportunity does arise, Deb rushes in to defuse the situation by inviting Ali & Sue to dinner. Sue later assumes that the invitation is because Deb fancies Ali, and that she & Andy, who have what they call an open relationship, want to do some wife swapping.
