TV ratings: 'The Sing-Off' returns to a higher note Monday, 'Christmas Light Fight' has decent start

Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 9, 2013"The Sing-Off" returned to NBC Monday to higher ratings than its last time out, rising half a point in adults 18-49 from its 2011 premiere (when it aired as a weekly series rather than a two-week strip). It didn't hurt that it had "The Voice," which was steady in the 18-49 demo and up in viewers vs. last week, as a lead-in.Elsewhere Monday, the premiere of ABC's "The Great Christmas Light Fight" drew decent ratings, improving on the debut of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" last year. "Almost Human" ticked up for FOX, but CBS' "Mike & Molly" fell as rest of the network's comedy block was in reruns.NBC averaged 9.9 million viewers and a 6.1 rating/9 share in households in primetime, easily beating ABC (6.5 million, 3.9/6) for the top spot. FOX (6.25 million, 3.9/6) came in third. CBS took fourth with 5.3 million viewers and a 3.5/5)...

ABC's 'Extreme Makeover Home Edition' Surges

TV ratings: '2 Broke Girls' and 'The Voice' lead Monday as American Country Awards stumble

Fast National ratings for Monday, Dec. 10, 2012CBS had a good night Monday as its lineup, led by a pair of "2 Broke Girls" episodes, was up across the board. "The Voice," which scaled back to one hour this week, was up a tick over its 8 o'clock numbers last week as well. That didn't translate to great ratings for the premiere of game show "Take It All," however.Elsewhere, the American Country Awards fell sharply from last year's show, losing more than 2 million viewers. "Gossip Girl" hit a season high for The CW.CBS currently stands at 10.6 million viewers and a 6.6 rating/10 share in households for the night. Those numbers may come down a bit in the final nationals because the network's Houston affiliate carried a highly rated "Monday Night Football" game. NBC (8.4 million, 5.1/8) came in second. ABC (whose Boston station also ran the "MNF" contest) was third at 5.6 million...

'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition's' 'Star Wars' Placement Was a Coincidence

‘Extreme Makeover: Home Edition’ Cancelled

ABC has decided to pull the plug on the Extreme Makeover  spin-off  Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with host Ty Pennington. The reality series  first debuted back in 2003. After finding  a home on the Sunday night line-up, ABC switched the series  to Fridays  and unfortunately the move could be the reason ratings dropped heavily for the show. With the series in its ninth season, the network plans to finish out this year and isn’t looking to continue with a tenth season. They are however looking to air special episodes of Pennington’s show, but have yet to give an official date for fans. Read More...

Kardashian Sisters, Demi Lovato Help Battle Bullying on 'Extreme Makeover' (VIDEO)

Bullying is a serious problem that can lead to all sorts of emotional and psychological issues for the victims, even later into their lives. For the Walker family, it cost them their son after he committed suicide at the tender age of 11. On 'Extreme Makeover: Home Edition' (Fri., 8PM ET on ABC), the family was giving a new home they could hopefully feel at peace in, as well as some help with their anti-bullying initiative. First, the Kardashian sisters surprised eldest daughter Dominic on a shopping trip, where Khloe talked about her own experiences with bullying. She was often compared negatively to sisters Kourtney and Kim, and fans of the show know that she actually took a DNA test years later to see if she was truly related to them. Insecurities from bullying can linger for years.
