TNT's new legal series, "Franklin & Bash," follows a pair of attorneys with unconventional litigation styles who get unexpectedly drafted into a corporate firm. Breckin Meyer ("Clueless," "Road Trip") and Mark-Paul Gosselaar ("Saved By the Bell," "NYPD Blue") play the titular characters, Jared Franklin and Peter Bash, respectively. Gosselaar "signed on" for the series first, but he says he wouldn't officially join until the producers found his cohort. After all, the show doesn't work if the two main characters can't carry on a believable TV bromance."I was tentative, because it was a legal drama, granted it had brilliant elements of humor intertwined in it, but it was also a relationship piece," Gosselaar tells Zap2it."One of the major components of this show is the relationship between these two guys, Franklin and Bash. I wasn't completely onboard until I knew who they were going to pick as my partner."But Gosselaar was thrilled to hear Meyer's name come up,... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/franklin-bashs-mark-paul-gosselaar-and-breckin-meyer-on-the-anatomy-of-their-bromance.html

It feels like both Mark-Paul Gosselaar and Breckin Meyer have been on a whole lot of TV shows, doesn't it? But when the stars of TNT's new lawyer dramedy 'Franklin & Bash' (premieres Wed., June 1 at 9PM ET) sat down with AOL TV to talk about the show, Gosselaar took pains to mention that, despite the presence of such flame-outs as 'Inside Schwartz' on Meyer's IMDb profile, his co-star has been in less TV shows than people think. "I'm gonna put him in his place," joked Gosselaar, who's starred in everything from 'Saved By The Bell' to 'NYPD Blue.' "He hasn't had a long TV career. I think he's more known for his films, because what, B, you only had two shows?" Read More... http://www.tvsquad.com/2011/05/25/mark-paul-gosselaar-breckin-meyer-interview-franklin-and-bash/

Breckin Meyer has done almost all there is to do in entertainment. He rose to fame as stoner TravisBirkenstock in 1995?s Clueless and has since appeared in countless films and television shows. He provides many of the voices as well as some of the writing for the hit animated series Robot Chicken and will next be seen on the big screen in the comedy Geezers . Now he’s heading to TNT for his next television series: the legal comedy-drama FRANKLIN & BASH , in which he plays Jared Franklin, one half of an ambulance-chasing attorney duo (Mark-Paul Gosselaar plays his partner, Peter Bash) recruited by a prestigious law firm. From "Saved by the Bell" to his new series "Franklin & Bash," Mark-Paul Gosselaar can admit that his looks have been an asset in his career. In fact, his character on the new TNT series, charming attorney Peter Bash, is very comfortable with his looks, and body for that matter, as the actor tells us we'll see in the premiere episode."It's never comfortable doing that kind of work," Gosselaar tells Zap2it of nude scenes. "Especially the one I'm doing for 'Franklin & Bash,' I'm doing it in front of a 100 extras butt-a** naked. It's like I can't think of a worse thing to show up to work to do."That's right, folks, Gosselaar gives us the full moon in the premiere episode of "Franklin & Bash" on June 1, which doesn't seem to be his favorite method for defining his character's personality on the series."No matter how confident you are about yourself, it's uncomfortable," he... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/franklin-bashs-mark-paul-gosselaar-on-nudity-and-that-intense-sex-scene-on-weeds.html

He's back on TNT. He's back in the courtroom playing a lawyer. But Mark-Paul Gosselaar says the similarities between his short-lived legal drama Raising the Bar and his upcoming series Franklin & Bash end there. For starters, his Raising the Bar character was kind of uptight. "Honestly, I miss working with [Raising the Bar creators] David Feige and Steven Bocho, but to play that character was ... he was so righteous all the time," Gosselaar said Thursday at the Television Critics Association's winter preview sessions. "Playing a public defender was great because you don't see that a lot, but I'm having a much better time doing this. [Raising the Bar] was so heavy. It's so nice to be on this show that's a little lighter and more comedic." To Read More Click Here.
Former Seinfeld star Jason Alexander will guest-star on TNT's forthcoming legal dramedy Franklin & Bash, TVGuide.com has learned. Alexander will play Carter, a wealthy CEO who seeks to put the titular lawyers on retainer, but his unethical behavior puts the duo in hot water. "He's basically a Bernie Madoff kind of guy who screwed everybody rather heartlessly," Alexander tells TVGuide.com exclusively. "He finds out he has very little time on the planet and has a 'come to Jesus' transformation. He hires Franklin and Bash to keep him out of trouble when he decides to distribute the wealth in the way he's going to. He's going to screw a lot of his fellow bad guys in order to do it." Franklin & Bash stars Breckin Meyer and Mark-Paul Gosselaar as two young, fly-by-the-seat-of-their-pants street lawyers who make major waves when they are recruited to join an esteemed, buttoned-down law firm by its leader (Malcolm McDowell).
