'Game of Thrones' Season 2 teaser: 'The cold winds are rising'

Tease - Cold Winds Are RisingHBO unveiled a new teaser for Season 2 of "Game of Thrones" Sunday night (Dec. 11), and like the one that debuted three weeks ago, it's pretty dark and brooding. The 45-second spot is filled with dimly lit shots of most of the (still living) key players from Season 1, looking contemplative and/or worried. Renly Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane) says in voiceover that he's laying claim to the Iron Throne, since Robert left "no true-born heir."That's unlikely to go over well with the Lannisters, but Stannis doesn't much care: "They will bend a knee or I will destroy them," he says. He closes with the Season 2 tagline, "The cold winds are rising.""Game of Thrones" returns to HBO in April. What do you think of the new teaser? For the record: An earlier version of this post misidentified the character giving the voiceover narration....

Producers Confirm Game of Thrones Character Name Change

Earlier this month, we posted a rumor that a new character for Game of Thrones  season 2 was getting their name changed. As it turns out, that rumor was true. In the book series from which Game of Thrones  is based, Asha Greyjoy is Theon's younger sister. We meet her when Theon (Alfie Allen) travels back to his home of the Iron Islands to try and convince his father Balon to join Robb Stark's (Richard Madden) cause. When he arrives, Theon (who has spent most of his adolescence as a captive of the Starks) is shocked to find that his father holds Asha in higher regard than him.
