A touch of Saturday Night Live is coming to Glee . Molly Shannon will guest star this May on the musical comedy, playing a role that sounds almost too delicious to be true. Originally reported by EW.com and then backed up by E! News, Shannon will portray Brenda Castle. She'll be a nemesis for Sue and: "[A] busty 45-year old new astronomy teacher and badminton coach at McKinley high-school who is both an alcoholic and a pill-popper," said an insider. Ignoring the atrocity that was Kath & Kim, Shannon has appeared on episodes of Pushing Daisies and 30 Rock . Glee (fianlly!) returns to Fox on April 13. Source Here
There are so many wonderful TV romances out there from the "classics" like Rachel and Ross on Friends , the will-they-or-won't-they couples like House 's "Huddy," and Chuck 's Chuck and Sarah, then of course the thrilling happy tales of those like The Office 's Jim and Pam. But while we love all those TV romances, this is our first Valentine's Day with this season's new shows, so let's give our favorite freshman show romances a little love! Here are my top 5 favorite freshman show romances: Glee - Will & Emma Anndd.... Rachel and Puck, Rachel and Finn, Quinn and Puck, Archie and Tina, Finn and Kurt! Okay, so the best part of this show besides the music and the hilarious comedy is definitely all the crazy, impossible, adorable, and ridiculous love triangles, squares, and octagons! But because teenagers will be teenagers and I really can't decide who of them would be cutest together, I'll go with the ultimate meant-to-be Glee couple for this Valentine's Day being Will and Emma. We were all shocked to see them actually get together (or at least kiss post-double break up) in the fall finale, so now it'll be thrilling to see where their adorable flirtation and tension will go from there! As for the others, well, I'm ready for wherever their drama and hormones take us next! Modern Family - Cam & Mitchell While this cast has a family full of hysterical characters and great couples, Cam and Mitchell take the cake for this one. They balance each other perfectly, have amazing chemistry, and show a love and bond like few other TV characters really do these days. Their relationship is topped off just right with their developing parenting skills which just emphasize how perfect they are for each other in many a situation like Mitchell semi-calmly calling On-Star as Cam screaming and racing at the car with a trash can (because they accidentally locked their new baby in there, of course). Their interview banter is also fantastic showing their chemistry and humor as well, making them at the top of my list for causing many a replay moment! Vampire Diaries - Stefan & Elena While the vampire-human romance is somehow not getting old in all its Twilight and True Blood glory, it seems that's the case because each romance, while having their similarities, are all just different enough. Stefan and Elena, for instance, are first of all hot, second of all have a mysterious past kind of with each other/Elena's look-a-like that's completely fascinating. And of course the brotherly love triangle tension doesn't hurt either! Life UneXpected - Cate & Nate While we don't know this show or this pairing very well yet, it's pretty obvious that 70% of this new CW show is based on the romantic tension between these two. And if you didn't already get that from them being reunited years after hooking up in high school by their 16-year-old daughter or their names rhyming, the show writers did a good job of rubbing it in with their "accidental" hook-up in the Pilot. While it's obvious and cheesy, I trust this WB-like newbie to be able to play out the love triangle between the two of them and Cate's fiance well enough to get and keep us all majorly hooked! The only problem here is the impossibility of a good couple hybrid name... Mercy - Veronica & Chris While this show is under the radar and I have to admit it's not one I keep up-to-date on, I somehow find though I don't love the show, I can't stop watching it because I keep getting drawn back in by the Veronica-Chris steamy war romance! I know romance while off at war has been done before, but there's something enticing about getting to see the after-effects of the wartime romance which are usually ignored in movies, or don't happen because someone died. This time, we get to see what happens when they go home from the war, try to go back to real life including other significant others after a crazy hot romance away from home in an intense situation. imply put, our life sucks without GLEE. Which is why, in an effort to help fans keep holding on until the show's much anticipated April 13 return - we at thetvaddict.com, in lieu of uploading a killer shower rendition of Can't Help Fight This Feeling, which let's face it nobody needs to see - will be spending the next few Wednesdays sharing interviews with some of your favorite stars from the show. First up, Dianna Agron, who was kind enough to take some time at the recent Television Critics Association Press Tour to talk about what's in store for Quinn when GLEE finally returns in 68 days, 7 hours, and 43 minutes. But who's counting? To Read More Click Here .
While previous Glee spoilers made it pretty clear that both Kurt and Mercedes would be receiving love interests when this show returns in April, creator Ryan Murphy is focused on another couple. He told TV Guide that he's been shocked at how excited fans are by the Will and Emma pairing. Consequently, he and his writers have actually detailed a "relationship timeline" for the pair. "We have a lot of conversations about 'When should they kiss again? When should they sleep together? Should they sleep together? Should they stay together?' We talk about that a lot," Murphy said. Sources indicate Terri and Will will get separated almost immediately this spring, but the latter's relationship with Emma might not go so smoothly. Say this isn't so, Glee. It's bad enough to make us wait until April 13 for a new episode, but don't you dare mess with our dreams of Wemma living happily ever after, not before we even get a change to truly see these two together! If you've missed Glee during the off-season, Jimmy Fallon's spoof of Fox's musical comedy may tide you over. During the Late Night skit, Fallon reports that he and his staff from Studio 6B need to compete in sectionals in order to raise money for cue cards. And Fallon's "Living On a Prayer" is the only thing that can save the show's punch-lines by raising the $375 to buy them. Check out the story of "6-bee" in the video below, with cameos from Saturday Night Live's Fred Armisen and Abby Elliot. And yes, that's really them singing. Source & Video
Taylor Swift is urging TV bosses to give her a guest role in hit TV show Glee - because the country star is convinced she could shine in the musical series. The 20 year old is set to make her big screen debut in new romantic movie Valentine's Day, and recently admitted the role has encouraged her to seek out more acting work. To Read More Click Here .
" Glee " creator Ryan Murphy had announced that two of the three new characters added to the musical show in the next season are Kurt's boyfriend and Rachel's rival. The third character in question has just been revealed via EW as a male version of Mercedes. "The third role is an R&B-singing teen," Murphy confirmed. When asked whether this would mean Mercedes will get a lover or rival, Murphy said "perhaps" they would be lovers. Despite announcing the three characters who will bring a surge of fresh story to the second season, Murphy has not revealed whether they have found actors to fit in the roles. Meanwhile, the remaining episodes of season 1 will begin April 13 on FOX. Neil Patrick Harris will be guest starring during May sweeps, while Jennifer Lopez is still in talks to guest star as a cafeteria lady. Source Here
Are you the next member of "Glee's" singing group, New Directions? If you think you're a triple threat (singing, dancing, acting), "Glee" wants you. FOX has announced a nationwide open casting call to start in February. Reportedly, they need to fill three spots for season two. Are you destined to sing lead like Rachel? Or are you the undiscovered jock next door with the voice like Finn? Can you blow like Mercedes? If so, and you're between 16-26 years of age, you could be starring on "Glee" next season. Jane Lynch will live out a childhood fantasy in front of U.S. TV audiences in late 2010 - the actress has signed on to perform her version of Madonna's dance hit "Vogue" on hit show "Glee". Lynch will put her pop star skills to the test when she sings the 1990 track in character as her coach character Sue Sylvester in an upcoming episode. And the 49-year-old confesses Madonna has been her idol for the last three decades. She says, "I've just been kind of up on Madonna these days. I'm loving her. I grew up in the '80s, so she provided the soundtrack to my life." The actress' tribute will feature as part of an all-Madonna music "Glee" episode. Another news of Jane Lynch is that she recently revealed she made a duet with Olivia Newton-John, who made her guest appearance in the TV series. She told reporters at the FOX mid-season launch party, "I am doing a song with Olivia Newton-John. I'm doing 'Let's Get Physical'." Source Here
