Hannah Montana: Emily Osment Kicks Off "Clap Your Hands" Tour This March

Having heard of the numerous nominations received by the Hannah Montana franchise at the Kids' Choice Awards (two, actually), we can't help but wonder how it managed that without its talented stars. Most of them are already doing their best to make it on their own in this business, breaking free from the Disney show. One of them is actress Emily Osment, who has recently announced yet another musical endeavor of hers: the "Clap Your Hands" tour. The star's latest affair will kick off this March, hoping to draw in audiences with promos. According to Osment's official website, she's going to give away special VIP tickets to several lucky fans. Excited about the big event, the 17-year-old musician first posted the news on her Twitter account. "Time to get up, and get rowdy! My spring "Clap Your Hands" tour is coming to a city near you. All info at PARTY!" she wrote. You can find the list of official tour dates on her website. She'll start off the "Clap Your Hands" tour at the House of Blues in Anaheim, California on March 7, extending the event to May. To Read More Click here .

'Hannah Montana' and Miley Cyrus Snag Four Kids' Choice Awards Nominations

Knowing that the future is in the hands of today's children may slightly unnerve some of us, but we can't really predict the future based on their picks for this year's Kids' Choice Awards. Their penchant for Miley Cyrus seems to have returned, as her work has once again been nominated for the much awaited night. People reports that the 17-year-old star managed to haul in a total of four nominations for the KCAs. According to the official list, she's been named as a contender in the following categories: "Favorite Female Singer," "Favorite Movie Actress" for Hannah Montana: The Movie, and "Favorite TV Actress" for Hannah Montana. Her single, "Party in the U.S.A." also got recognized as "Favorite Song". But it looks like the Hannah Montana star has some tough competition in line for that coveted orange blimp. There's Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and Lady Gaga on the music side of the arena. Meanwhile, we have Miranda Cosgrove, Selena Gomez and Keke Palmer on the acting. Will Miley have to make way for these other girls this year? In 2007 and 2008, Cyrus already won the "Favorite TV Actress" award. She also snagged "Favorite Female Singer" in 2008 and 2009, but didn't quite make the others last year. She always seems to be honored for her work on the Disney franchise, even though she has fervently expressed the desire to break out of that role. Still, it's what kids remember her for and this is, after all, the Kids' Choice Awards. It's really difficult to take these rising stars seriously once you've gotten so used to seeing them dominate TV as children. Anyway, Miley's still not the one leading the pack with her four nominations. Apparently, Twilight has five. She does have more than the Jonas Brothers and the Sprouse (Cole and Dylan, of Disney's The Suite Life on Deck) Brothers, who scored three each. Hosted by Paul Blart: Mall Cop star Kevin James, the 23rd Annual Kids' Choice Awards will be held in Los Angeles next month. It will air on March 27, but those willing to participate can already start voting for their favorites on February 25 on this website. Source Here

'Hannah Montana' Gets Jon Cryer to Play Dad

towards its finale, the show's bound to offer up some great surprises to increase the hype. That's not to mention dialing up the comedy for an upcoming episode titled "The Wheel Near My Bed (Keeps On Turnin')". Just Jared Jr. reports that actor Jon Cryer will be a guest star on the said installment, and will be playing a crucial part in the series. He's bagged the role of father to Lilly (Emily Osment), the best friend of the series' lead character, Miley. Most of us know the 44-year-old star as Alan Harper on the CBS comedy series Two and a Half Men. He's had bad luck in relationships there, and it seems like that's carried on to his stint on the Disney Channel series. On "The Wheel Near My Bed (Keeps On Turnin')", Cryer plays a harebrained dad to Lilly. We expect the two of them to get along though, considering how crazy this girl can get sometimes. Maybe it's in the genes. To Read More Click Here .
