Harry Potter is an 11-year-old boy who's parents died when he was a baby, which he believes is because of a car accident, but their deaths were actually by the hand of the evil Lord Voldermort of the wizarding world not kept hidden from ordinary people (who are known as Muggles to the wizards). Harry lives with his Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia who begrudgingly took him in after his parents' death after he was left on their doorstep by professors of the wizard school, Hogwarts. They believed with all the turmoil in their world, that Harry would be safer living apart in the Muggle world, that is until now.

Wizard children begin their schooling at Hogwarts at 11, and Lord Voldermort is not gone but extremely weakened and in hiding, so the school groundskeeper, Hagrid, is sent to bring Harry to school. Hagrid discovers Harry's aunt and uncle haven't told Harry a word about the wizard world and have lied to him about his parents.

This begins Harry's exciting journey into the wizarding world and all that lies waiting for him there as he discovers his powers and wide fame among wizards.

He quickly becomes best friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger as well as fast enemies with Draco Malfoy and his gang.
