When the series premiered in the United States, it was the night's most-watched program among adults aged 18-49, attracting 14.3 million viewers overall and receiving the highest rating for any NBC drama premiere in five years. The second season of Heroes will consist of 24 episodes, and the first season of a new spinoff, Heroes: Origins, will include six episodes. The second season premiered on September 24, 2007 with Heroes: Origins meant to air in April and May of 2008, but is currently put on hold. In the UK, the BBC has bought the rights to air season 2 and will be showing it sometime in 2008.

  • 'Heroes' Action Figures to Hit Stores in June

    This summer, you can buy all the Heroes you want.  NBC announced today that Heroes action figures will begin hitting stores in early June.  Heroes and NBC joined forces with Mezco Toyz to create a series of seven inch action figures (not dolls!), which represents Heroes first foray into the toy market.  The action figures will be available anywhere toys are sold – major online retailers, department stores, specialty shops – as well as NBCstore.com and the NBC Experience Store.  Mezco Toys has previously created action figures for such big name franchises as South Park , Family Guy , and The Goonies.  In this first run of action figures, these characters will be featured: Claire Bennet, Mohinder Suresh, Sylar, Hiro Nakamura and Peter Petrelli. 

  • Heroes: Jack Coleman Hints on Character Plots for Season 3

    Executive producer and director Allan Arkush has already hinted on some of the details of the upcoming season of Heroes but cast member Jack Coleman has even more to say about what's in the cards for his character Noah Bennett and the rest of the characters of the NBC's science fiction series. While some heroes are bound to go into the dark side, there are also some villains who are expected to turn good.  This, according to the 50-year-old actor, is one of the many twists to watch out for when Heroes returns on September 15.

  • 'Friday Night Lights' Casting News: Brea Grant to 'Heroes,' Jesse Plemons to 'Fear Itself'

    Jesse Plemons and Brea Grant made quite the couple on Friday Night Lights .  Grant played Landry's rebound love interest during the second season of Friday Night Lights and made a pretty darn good impression on fans and TV executives alike.  Jesse Plemons has always been a fan favorite as Landry.  NBC is apparently a big fan of both.  Today, it has been announced that both Plemons and Grant have been cast in two different NBC franchises – one new and one old.  Brea Grant is joining the cast of Heroes next season, while Jesse Plemons will appear in an episode of NBC's summer anthology series Fear Itself .
