More Information

The story of InuYasha starts in feudal Japan, when the half demon InuYasha steals the Jewel of Four Souls. He tries to get away, but a priestess named Kikyo pins him to a sacred tree before succumbing to her injuries and perishing.

In modern times, a junior high school girl named Kagome Higurashi is on her way to school, when a giant centipede demon emerges and attacks Kagome. After the attack, she wanders through a mysterious forest until she comes across a tree with a boy on it. She sees the arrow and pulls it out, awakening InuYasha from his 50 year slumber.

After InuYasha kills the centipede demon and saves Kagome, he notices that she looks just like Kikyo. InuYasha again tries to take the Jewel of Four Souls, but is stopped by Kaede, who traps him with prayer beads. The beads allow Kagome to control Inuyasha to some extent.

Before they can get comfortable, a giant crow demon attacks and swallows the Jewel of Four Souls. Kagome hits it with an arrow and kills it, but shatters the Jewel into millions of pieces. Now Kagome, InuYasha, and their companions Miroku, Sango, Shippo, and Kilala must find the Jewel shards before the evil Naraku does!

InuYasha ran from 2000 to 2005, and now has a sequel in the form of InuYasha: The Final Act.
