Tonight's TV Hot List: Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009 - Featured

* Bones (8/7c Fox) Since Zack's departure, the revolving nature of the Jeffersonian's interns don't always merit a second look. But keep an eye out for Joel David Moore when his character, lab assistant Colin Fisher, camps out for movie tickets with Sweets and Hodgins. It just so happens the film they're dying to see, James Cameron's upcoming sci-fi epic Avatar, includes Moore as one of its costars. Speaking of virtual reality, Brennan and Booth investigate the video-arcade scene when it's "game over" for a star player. * FlashForward (8/7c ABC) What if a confession was made and nobody listened? Or if everyone laughed? Those are two possible outcomes tonight, as Lloyd tries to come clean about his and Simon's possible role in the blackout. In other events, Mark and Demetri head to Hong Kong to find the woman who told Demetri the specifics of his death, and Zoey learns what her flash-forward means. * Private Practice (9/8c ABC) Last time, we met Addison's rich father (Stephen Collins) and learned that he's a cad. In the first part of tonight's two-hour episode, he acts like one, and it hits home. And if that's not enough dysfunction for one family, Addison's mom (JoBeth Williams) turns up in the second hour and divulges a family secret that no one wants to know. Meanwhile, Sam and Naomi realize that their little Maya isn't as little as they'd like her to be, and Dell and Heather's warm-and-fuzzies come to an explosive end. * 30 Rock (9:30/8:30c NBC) Look who's talking. It's Liz, and she gets down to biz when production finally gets underway on her brand-new talk show, Dealbreakers. But she'll be taking a talk on the wild side when meddlesome and nettlesome Jack, while tangling with nemesis Devin Banks (Will Arnett), schemes to make her program a runaway hit. In other developments, Rock star Tracy tries to prove his love to his wife (Sherri Shepherd) by participating in the ultimate Hollywood challenge. * It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10/9c FX ) If it's always sunny in Philadelphia, why does M. Night Shyamalan live in the area? It's a question you might want to ponder tonight, when Dee lands a role in a Shyamalan film on genocide in the former Yugoslavia. Actually, Dee's an extra, but she doesn't realize that until the assistant director starts treating her like dirt. As for Shyamalan himself, the Philadelphia-based horror maven is nowhere to be seen. He's gotta have too much sense to make a cameo on a sitcom. Source Here

Tonight's TV Hot List: Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009 - Featured

* Vampire Diaries (8/7c The CW ) More surprises are in store tonight when Stefan celebrates his 162nd birthday and one of his oldest friends, Lexi (Arielle Kebbel), arrives unexpectedly to show him a good time. Of course, she's also undead and is 350 years old herself. But she's still smoking hot and is passionate about being with Stefan. And she's not going to let any mere mortal, like Elena, stand in her way. * FlashForward (8/7c ABC) Alex Kingston, the former Dr. Corday on ER, guest stars as MI6 agent Fiona Banks, who takes part in an operation with Mark, Demetri and Gough concerning the Blue Hand club that may be linked to suicides. There are also developments with certain characters' flash-forwards: Aaron meets with one of his daughter's former Army pals, Demetri confesses his flash-forward (or lack thereof) to Zoe, and Bryce and Nicole decipher the mystery of his vision. * The Office (9/8c NBC) After blissfully marrying Jim in Niagara Falls, newlywed Pam's sweet life turned bitter when she returned to her 9-to-5 life to discover her mom, Helene (Linda Purl), is now dating none other than Dunder Mifflin's chief dunderhead, Michael. Horrified, Pam went ballistic, naturally. There's double trouble for her tonight when she and Jim, finally having run out of excuses, agree to go out on a double date with Michael and Helene. Let the cringing begin. * It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10/9c FX ) The "kitten mitten" clip for Sunny has been pretty hard to miss lately, and in many ways the expression on Charlie's face when the poor mitten-wearing kitten falls off the table sums up the show's subversively gleeful approach to mischievousness and worse. Tonight's the night that the gang wraps an episode around that clip, and it involves (to put it corporately) "building the Paddy's brand." They're going to sell those things! And with the holidays just around the corner, who knows? * The Real Housewives of Orange County (10/9c Bravo ) California dreamin'? Nah, this is California schemin'. The Orange County wives return for more catty conniving in the real-world soap opera's Season 5 opener. Not all is OK in the OC. We discover that economic pain trickles up to the rich and privileged, as a wilting economy puts financial strains on both Jeana and Tamra. In parallel developments, Vicki works to strengthen her marriage, and Gretchen marches on in the wake of a tragedy. The ladies also gather for Lynne's jewelry show, setting the stage for a main-event showdown between rivals Tamra and Gretchen. Source Here

* The Office (9/8c NBC) A strong Season 6 has been teeming with tricks and treats - Jim and Pam's memorable Niagara Falls wedding and Michael's controversial new love among them. There's more scare fare in tonight's Halloween-themed affair when the branch organizes a haunted house for community children. Meanwhile, Michael is spooked when he plunges (literally) into a big business meeting by falling into a koi pond. And Pam and Andy team up, utilizing cold-calling methods to pull in more business. * It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10/9c FX ) The gang isn't exactly known for altruism, so why are they making like Bob Hope and putting on a show for returning troops? It's a wrestling show by the way, with Charlie, Dennis and Mac as tag-team partners ("The Birds of War"). Also featured is Professional Wrestling Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper, who happens to be one of the greatest grappling villains of all time. At least that figures. Meanwhile, Dee meets a soldier online. What's he really like? She has no idea. * The Mentalist (10/9c CBS) If ever there was a case made for Patrick Jane, it would be this one, combining his two loves: solving crimes and showing people that anything beyond the physical world is an illusion. The team is assigned to investigate the claim that a wealthy man was killed by a ghost that haunted his mansion. With Jane's background as a psychic and knowing all of the tricks of those who prey on other's beliefs, the killer doesn't have a ghost of a chance. * The League (10:30/9:30c FX ) Men behaving badly on sitcoms has been a TV staple longer than the NFL has, and the beer-swilling Chicago fantasy leaguers on this one behave badly enough (or at least want to) to warrant a TV-MA rating. It begins, not surprisingly, with the league's draft, and if you don't know that the Calgary Stampeders aren't in the NFL, this probably isn't a show for you. The creators are Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm alum Jeff Schaffer and his wife, Jackie Marcus Schaffer (Disturbia). * CSI : Crime Scene Investigation (9/8c CBS) College football can be a cutthroat sport for players and coaches alike... but it should never result in murder. Sadly, for a popular local gridiron coach, murder is exactly the fate that awaits on this episode, in which he is bludgeoned to death. Not surprisingly, the respected victim is discovered to be a lot less saintly than was previously believed and not as beloved by his players as many thought. * Ace of Cakes (10/9c Food Network ) The Charm City Cakes crew hangs with the Hogwarts crowd in the Season 7 finale when the entire team hits the road and heads to New York City to create an elaborate confection for the U.S. premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince . The trip isn't all work and no play, though: The creative cake makers also find time for fishing in the Hudson and cranberry bogging (yes, cranberry bogging) in Rockefeller Center. Source Here
