Personal life

He attended Richmond upon Thames College and later the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London. Both his parents are theater thespians who also work in television and films, and Anderson himself has acted professionally since childhood. His skills include photography, guitar and gymnastics. His father is actor Miles Anderson.

Career

Anderson has worked in film, television and on the stage at the Chichester Festival Theatre. He appeared in Copying Beethoven, playing Ludwig van Beethoven's nephew, and in Across the Universe as Max, an American teenager drafted into the Vietnam War. He starred as Henry Austen, Jane Austen's older brother in Becoming Jane. Anderson also starred as Joy Division bass player Peter Hook in Anton Corbijn's 2007 movie Control. He appears in several 2008 films, playing "Elliot" in The 27 Club, "Mathias" in The Ruins, "Donnie" in High Life, and Traveling, for which his character is the musician boyfriend of Jennifer Aniston's character. He is currently filming "Amelia", the biopic of Amelia Earhart.
