The Jonas Brothers are a VMA-nominated American boy band. The band gained early popularity from the children's television network, Disney Channel. Hailing from Wyckoff, New Jersey, the band consists of three brothers: Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas and has gained fans from all ages. They have released three albums: It's About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), and A Little Bit Longer (2008).

Were considering the names "The Jonas Trio", "The Sons of Jonas", "Jonas Jonas Jonas" and "Run Jonas Run" for the band name (names suggested by Columbia Records).

Summary
The Jonas Brothers started as a solo project of the youngest member and second youngest brother, Nick Jonas. Once the recording company became aware that he had two other musically talented brothers (Kevin and Joe), they were quickly signed to Columbia Records. The brothers considered naming their group "Sons of Jonas," before settling on the name the "Jonas Brothers". Their father manages the group, and was in charge of getting the band's record deals. The Jonas Brothers released their first album, It's About Time, on August 8, 2006. After switching labels to Hollywood Records, their self-titled second album, Jonas Brothers was released on August 7th 2007.
