Justified Prepares for a Showdown in Harlan County

Season 1 of Justified ended with blazing gunfire and a staggeringly large body count. So the big question is: Can this season's finale — promisingly titled "Bloody Harlan" — provide the same nail-biting action, shoot 'em ups and who's-hurt aftermath? "It matches it in terms of drama and shock," says Joelle Carter, who plays plucky widow Ava on the gripping neo-Western. "While I was reading the script, I was screaming."   According to Carter...  http://www.tvguide.com/News/Justified-Finale-Preview-1032672.aspx?rss=breakingnews

'Justified's' Joelle Carter: Ava's got a gun

On Wednesday (May 4), FX's Southern crime drama "Justified," based on a character created by novelist Elmore Leonard, ends its sophomore season with "Bloody Harlan," which may give viewers a clue what's waiting in the wings. And if they can't guess, Joelle Carter, who plays widow (by virtue of manslaughter) Ava Crowder, says that last week's explosive episode will pale in comparison."It's even more epic than episode 12," she says of the finale, "so I'd really put those seat belts on and get ready for the ride."Ava is a former Harlan County, Ken., cheerleader, and a longtime acquaintance of prodigal-son U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant). But she didn't wind up with him -- he married, divorced and has apparently reconciled with the lovely court reporter Winona (Natalie Zea) -- and instead wed Bowman Crowder. He was the son of a local crime boss and brother to explosives-loving robber Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins), who also has a... http://blog.zap2it.com/frominsidethebox/2011/05/justifieds-joelle-carter-avas-got-a-gun.html

Top Moments: Office's Fond Farewell, Vampire Diaries Shockers and a Cheesy Race

13. Kiss and Don't Tell Award:  After  American Idol  woman scorned Pia Toscano sings her anthem "I'll Stand By You" on  Dancing with the Stars  (her all-but-confirmed beau Mark Ballas' show), Tom Bergeron gets right to the point: "Is he a good kisser?" Coy as ever, Toscano laughs it off and replies, "He's a wonderful person." We'll take that as a yes. But seriously, enough with the cageyness. It's really wearing on your 15 minutes. 12. Most Cringeworthy:  At first, Paul Reiserseems like a good sport for showing up for his The Tonight Show with Jay Leno  appearance even though his NBC sitcom was canceled last week. But naturally, the comedian wasn't going to let the awkward sitdown pass without lobbing a few grenades. "NBC, to my knowledge, they don't traditionally make bad decisions," he tells Leno. "I don't know what your experience is..." And then: "When you're the last-place network, you don't want to jeopardize that. You found your niche; stay there." Justified Promo: "Reckoning"

While the first season showed us how awesome Raylan Givens is, the sophomore season has gone out of its way to showcase the greatness of those around him, too. We discussed this and much more in our Justified review this morning after yet another strong episode, "Full Commitment." Follow the link to read if you missed it! Next week, in the penultimate season two episode of Justified , Raylan hunts down a criminal closer to home than usual. We'll review it for you immediately after it airs. http://www.tvfanatic.com/2011/04/justified-promo-reckoning/

'Justified' - 'Full Commitment': Ducking out

A review of tonight's   "Justified"  coming up just as soon as I do the Dolly Parton version...   "You kill anybody?" -Tim "No." -Raylan "Well, I guess there's that." -Tim Raylan Givens is in many ways an update of the classic Western loner, but once upon a time "Justified" at least made a pretense that such a man could function in 21st century society, get along with his colleagues, maybe even be friends with some of them, have a relationship, etc. This season, though, has dealt in large part with Raylan slowly but surely isolating himself from anyone and everyone who ever cared about him. Ava's bitter about how things ended. Art can't wait to be done with him. Tim is understandably upset with how Raylan behaves this week, not just in the way he repeatedly ditches him, but in Raylan's surprise that Tim could track him to Mags' store. ("Give me a little credit; I'm a professional," Tim says, speaking the lament of every third-banana character ever.) Raylan's actions with Gary and Wynn Duffy are done with the intention of sparing Winona further heartache, but knowing the kind of man Raylan Givens is, I imagine this is going to eat into what's left of their horrible rebound relationship even more than the theft of the evidence money.    Read More... http://www.hitfix.com/blogs/whats-alan-watching/posts/justified-full-commitment-ducking-out

VIDEO: Justified's Natalie Zea Says Women Don't Like Her "Getting on Their Man"

What's the toughest thing about starring opposite Justified 'sTimothy Olyphant? "Women don't like me," Natalie Zea tells TVGuide.com. Zea plays Winona Hawkins, the ex-wife of Olyphant's character Raylan Givens. But now that the two are back together, Zea says she's feeling the hate. Justified: Is Boyd Really Teaming Up with the Bennett Clan?

Justified starWalton Goggins says that Boyd Crowder needs to keep his friends close and his enemies closer. How else to explain the strange alliance that is brewing in the remaining episodes of the FX drama's second season. In the April 6 episode, Boyd made a deal with the devil of Harlan County: Mags Bennett (Margo Martindale). Boyd secured some key tracts of land that allowed Mags to extort the mining company. "What Boyd is able to do as well as any other foe on television is understand the pieces on the board, the players in the game and how things move," Goggins tells TVGuide.com... http://www.tvguide.com/News/Justified-Walton-Goggins-1031808.aspx?rss=breakingnews
